You should Bloom them right as he points to them.

The faq must be for the PS2 version. Regarding previous poster I am talking about trees that need to be bloomed before the shuffle takes place. I only need 3 more, however. Mr. Blossom does not stand near his house. He stands in the NE pf commoners town.

All the PS2 guides apply to the Wii.

Missing three trees, eh? My sidequest guide covers this quite thoroughly. On his head, in his house, behind his house.

You guide says there are 5 trees in the center of town to bloom before Mr. Blossom does his shuffle? I do nlot have a problem finding all of the tress - I found them. I had a problem trying to bloom the 5th tree in the center of town until I figured out I should ignore the guide.

Now I am trying to keep up with Mr. Blossom. I have the impression that he starts you from the beginning each time that you lag.

He has a tree on his HEAD? I was missing one tree. Kind of surprising.

You guide says there are 5 trees in the center of town to bloom before Mr. Blossom does his shuffle?

No it doesn't. It says bloom 20, then he'll uncurse the last five for you.

    - Mr. Flower: Once you've cleared the mist from the city you'll notice some of
the trees in the Commoners Quarter are still cursed. Talk to Mr. Flower in
the northeast corner of town. He'll offer to cleanse the cursed trees by
performing his Gura Shuffle, but first you need to bloom all the other trees.
You only need to restore the 20 trees in the Commoners Quarter. They're all
easy to find with three exceptions: one behind Mr. Flower's house, one in his
house and one on his head. Yes, on his head! You'll receive 1 praise per tree
and 20 for the one on his head. Once that's done, speak to him again and
he'll run around town cleansing the last five cursed trees, finishing with
the one on his roof. Bloom each, including his roof, and you'll get another
    20 praise!

^ Why can't you just follow him to the trees?
  • May 26, 2008 9:41 pm GMT
I could even start out with a map of the cursed trees so that I know where he is going in advance. Along previous posters line of thought, why bother having a faq?

I said that it would be nice to have the info. It would be nice to have a faq.

Being as the faqs are no help if I try it I will make a map of the cursed trees and I will follow Mr. Blossom and number the trees in order. I may or may not bother.

Does anyone know what this guy's talking about or why he can't just follow Mr. Flower?

Yeah... I'm sorry, but I didn't get that either. Is it hard to understand, or am I not running on all cylinders?

I know this doesn't really have to do with this topic, but I couldn't seem to start a new topic...

Anyway - PLEASE HELP ME! I've tried a hundred times to bloom the branches as Mr Orange does the shuffle in Kamiki village, but I can only get the two first to bloom. I do exactly the same with the third branch but nothing happens. I've tried for days now.. I like the game alot, but if I can't get passed this I'll just have to quit the game...

I think that each bud is timing. Of course you return to the beginning when the bud does not bloom. This game has many similar scenarios.

All I can suggest is that you might get assistance from someone who is good at this. (I would offer but I am not good at this: this is my first Wii game and an injury to my right shoulder has reduced my coordination)

If someone is willing to help you, you could

    1. Copy memory of the game to an SD card
    2. Put the SD card in a USB reader and upload to email
    3. Have angel do the shuffle and return new save in email.

You might want to keep trying. Once you get it you will be good for the game.

This is one of the hardest events to complete in the game since it's easy to miss the buds and make a sun instead. It took me quite a few tries before I finally got it. Try drawing a circle around the bud as small as you can and make sure it's properly closed. Once you get past that, you'll have a much easier time with the rest of the game.

Back to my topic: The Cherry Blossoms and Mr. flowers.

    1) There are 2 houses. He is in a house in the SW at the start - sick and he must be cured and the non cursed trees in the poor town must be bloomed. (There are trees to bloom in noble town but they do not need to be done before.) There is a second house in the NE of poor town to the east of the exit to noble town and south of the terrace belonging to the tavern. Mr. Flower's will be standing in front of this house during the day by the time that the bloomible trees have been bloomed including the 2 in places where you would never look.

    2) As stated elsewhere there are 5 trees with a cursed, purple hue that require Mr. Flower's dance.
I made a map of these trees before hand and placed some lily pads before hand.
    i) tree between carpenter's house and Flower's house #2 = START
ii) tree in the center and close to the mirror
iii) tree in the center = in the NW corner of the center
(iv) tree by the kimono designer's and south of Flower's house #1
    v) tree in the center = in the NE corner of the center

Now swim and run back to Flower's house #2

** Placing the lily pads in advance mean that you will not run out of ink. Double jump helped me jump from the lily pad to the top of the bank.
