Brown rage... *spoilers*?

Ok. Maybe I'm forgetting things from the original, but I'm pretty sure Brown Rage was Ammy turning away from the enemy, and digging with her front paws to flick dirt and rocks at them to get Demon Fangs and do damage.
However, I just bought it in the Wii version, and to my surprise, Ammy squats down, poops (a lot), and a few seconds later, said poop explodes.
I remember too that on the PS2, Brown Rage replaces Golden Fury, but on the Wii, I can do both. Once the "poop grenade" is down, pressing C does Golden Fury, until it explodes, and then C does another Brown Rage...
So am I remembering incorrectly, or have they inserted obvious toilet humor here?

It was always a poop attack. A couple of the Canine Warriors do the dig attack you're thinking of.

I'm positive I did the dig attack, because I remember being relieved that it was dirt, and not poop.

You can still do both at any time... I pretty sure it has to do with how long you hold the button, but I may be wrong.
Also, I'm PRETTY sure you could still do both on the PS2 version, as well.

You can do both in the PS2 version ... you were probably pressing the button too hard for Golden Fury.

Either something was different with my old PS2 copy, or I've lost my mind completely. I specifically remember the digging , and how relieved I was that I didn't have to reset to get rid of a gross move.
