Okage is one of those games that you find in the bargain bin for $7 and assume its probably not good at all, considering the low price, but it is really worth playing!

The game is about a young boy who gets attached to a demonic shadow named "The Evil King Stan" against his will. Stan discovers that his powers are greatly lacking for some reason and comes to discover that there are impostor "Evil Kings" running around stealing his powers; to get his powers back, Stan forces the young boy to take down these impostors in hopes of one day restoring his great evil form. Throughout this journey you come upon new friends who join you in your quest.

The storyline is by no means serious, its almost completely filled with humor; the storyline is creative and interesting and keeps you playing. The battle system is turn based although some of its quirks are not so desirable; if the main character dies then its game over, you choose a skill you will use you must wait for it to follow through (this is a problem because sometimes when you try to cure someone, the person dies before they are cured and you end up wasting the spell on them). The game isn't that difficult but I did find myself needing to level up a good bit to beat some of the later bosses.

The graphics are cartoon/anime-like and a little blocky but it didn't bother me at all, especially since its not a serious game.

The music is fun and is well-suited to the game.

Overall, Okage is a fun game that's funny, quirky, and definitely worth playing (and its such a low price!).
