I found the game Obscure kind of underappreciated, so here are my thoughts on this game.
The characters I found were somewhat well developed, each had his or her own distinct personality. Kinda cliched though from the typical teenage drama that you would see on the television. The setting of Obscure, was a little off, it sets place in a American high school. Well to me , it looked more like something more of a European style as I played through room to room.
As I encountered these creatures , there were more than one way to defeat them which was a definitely unique experience for me. Bravo for whoever thought of putting in the smashing of the windows to let light in idea, I salute you! ;)
Of course there were also the weapons, very down to earth objects. ( bat,pipe,hand gun,etc.) I liked the fact of how you could improve upon them by taping it to something else. But despite all of its noticeable flaws, I bring it down to earth to the fact that is definitely most important; the scream factor.
I know I found myself in suspense as I walked down every dark hallway and every turn unknowing on what would be waiting for me on the other end. The creatures that spawned out of the darkness really got me excited. To say the least I definitely wasn't disappointed. All in all , myself being a horror/ survival fan, this game is worth playing. If your like me, having played all resident evils, silent hills and are looking for something with a new story, characters, and adventure, you should check this out.
