NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits is a game that released on iOS, WiiWare and PC in 2009/2010. The main plot is based on the Greek mythology where a boy called Icarus falls for a girl named Nyx. Apparently, it was wrong for Icarus to be with Nyx and once they constantly broke the rules, a heatwave came in and melted Icarus' wings, causing him to fall. It is up to Nyx to save Icarus!
The gameplay in this game requires you to go through levels while avoiding obstacles, using powers given by other gods to solve puzzles and fighting bosses. The game incorporates certain sections where you have to do some puzzle solving to traverse areas. The game's soundtrack is stellar as it has an atmospheric feel to it when you are playing through the levels. The game has Relics for you to collect as well. What I really love about the game is the challenging levels, the music, the visuals, the powers and the puzzles that this game has to offer.
The game only suffers from repetitive bosses and the fact that the game is very short-lived but other than that, this is one of the greatest iOS games available and should be given a try. It is also available on WiiWare, Windows and Mac.
Also, I think that Over the Top Games and Nintendo should collaborate and make a cross-over game with NyxQuest and Kid Icarus, as the themes of the games are alike and I could see them making a great game out of both series.
