This game is immature, vulgar, bloody, gory, and just plain insane. No wonder it's amazing.

User Rating: 9.5 | No More Heroes WII
This has to be the best third-party developed Wii game I have ever played. No More Heroes is so over the top you can't help but love it. This is the story of Travis Touchdown as he carves a bloody path to his goal as the number 1 assassin in the world. Travis is the most unique characters ever concieved for a video game. An anime loving, video game playing, wrestling fanatic that is not afraid to do what he wants and say what is on his mind. After winning a beam katana on an internet auction he set's out to become the greatest assassin of all. All the major characters in the game are just as blood thirsty and zany as he is yet they bring their own charm and talents to the table. The bosses are by far the worst offendors in this department. A mail man who transforms into a super villian, a Russian stage magician, a super model with a fake leg that shoots missiles and an old lady with a shopping cart are just some of the weirdos you will have to face in the game. The games story and dialouge is riddled with cliches and pop references from both Japan and America. Yet the game akcnowleges every cliche it throws your way as if to make fun of itself. The game controls wonderfully. You usually won't be swinging your remote to attack like crazy. Only when a killing blow needs to be done. The other motion controls used to make Travis stronger in excersises are also easy to do and responsive. You won't always be killing in the game. You can do odd jobs like filling cars with gas to earn money to unlock the next boss fight or purchase new clothes, accessorys and beam katanas. All this is done within the fictional town of Santa Destroy, California. The world and how you move about it on your motorcycle is like a stripped down version of grand theft auto. The games graphics can't compete with many other games on the market but has it's own distinct style of cel shading and the characters all move and animate nicely. The game is a bit of a cake walk. even the bosses don;t get hard until the final three. But the combat is still flashy and fun and the bosses are a thrill to fight. This is how a mature Wii game needs to be done. Fun, flashy, violent, and easy to get into. Anyone with a Wii and is old enough needs to experince the world of No More Heroes without a second thought.
