    @ The dude who asked if this were multi-platform: No. It's a Wii exclusive.

    "...last year's runaway hit"?!

    Are they smoking crack. Sure this game was a good game, it got amazing critical reception, but as far as sales go this game under-performed really bad. In fact, in Japan, not one person showed up to the launch of the game where Suda51 was signing copies of the game, in the end a reporter felt bad and bought a copy to give the rest of the reporters a photo op.

    Suda 51's work is a failure on all fronts. Gameplay. Level Design. Style. Humor. Suspense. Tone. Dialog. Plot. Fun. And most of all, storytelling in general.

    I think I must have fallen into bizarro world. The release schedule for Q1 2010 is actually better than this Q4 (Bayonetta, Darksiders, Mass Effect 2, Dante's Inferno, FF XIII, Bioshock 2, Dead Rising 2, Lost Planet 2, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, Yakuza 3...). Even more shockingly there are some games for the Wii I'm properly excited about, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and of course this.

    I'm a bit concerned that this doesn't have a release date in the EU yet and I'm worried we'll get neutered version again.

    I love how Suda 51 compares the creative process to having a dump.

    @sartnd

    I think the game is good because the first one was great. Also there is more to visuals to than simple polygon counts, there's this little thing called artstyle. This is coming from a person who owns all 3 consoles, there are things that are pleasing to the eye besides brown and green in HD. Also when I was talking about the animations, it was in reference to the first game not others games. All in all, this game looks great, whether you an look past how many polygons each character has to see the great artstyle is your business. But your missing out on games that simply more appealing the bombed out brown and green that is rampant on the HD consoles. Lastly "generation" has nothing to do with console capabilities, thats stupid. "Next gen" simply means the next console and nothing more.

    @Runnerman5478

    I agree with you on this one. But I still feel they can do lot better job being anime/manga/comic style game like blazblue or Okami.

    @sartnd:

    The graphics are how they are on purpose, to capture a specific style of visual appeal. It doesn't matter if it is generation 1, 3, 7, 356, or 1,900,002. If they want it to have a anime/manga/comic book feel to the game, that's how they'll draw it.

    @Sepewrath

    What makes you think the game is any good?

    It shows you know nothing about gaming and its graphics, you are still in last gen. All you have to do now is to grow up...

    "Travis spins the sword a few times before doing the gesture finish". This is done in many other action games, you just need to play more games. I not saying its a bad game just bad looking one.

    Good to see some original IPs getting some life on the Wii.

    @sartnd

    Trolling only shows a lack of intelligence and shows you know nothing about gaming. Anyway I like the looks of the Ikaruga looking mini game, the fact that you can play games on your TV in your apartment now(they seem to have forgotten in the first one, that Travis was a gamer) and the way they do finishers for the bosses; that looks like it will be a spectacular way to end the fight. I also like the little animations, like how Travis spins the sword a few times before doing the gesture finish.

    Summary for you, X-RS (and anyone else who wants the bullet points):

    - the first one was quirky, but the theme of this one is revenge, so he's a little more serious this time.

    - they like to listen to fans and fans said it's good as an action game, so they powered up bosses and henchmen and improved their AI.

    - camera is improved

    - different katanas handle differently, so now there's a different element to using different weapons

    - physics has been improved and graphics

    - wanted to spend all resources on the action parts, so made open world 2D so you can progress through it quickly without it getting in the way. Response to the 8-bit parts were very positive, so they increased the amount of those.

    - the first one felt experimental because the wii hardware was new at the time. Now it's more controlled.

    - there will be references to pop culture, American movies, etc.

    - after everyone in the world has stopped playing Mario, then NMH will come out and people can play that.
