In 2009, my older sister gave me Nintendogs: Dachshund and Friends for the DS, as she had an R4 card for her DS Lite. Nintendogs is a pet life sim game for the DS, that requires you to look after your pet dog. You can own up to 3 dogs at a time, so you have to choose the dog types you want wisely. You can do a number of things with your pet like take it on walks, enter competitions, teach the dog certain commands, play music, give it a bath etc.
This game also has multiplayer, which lets your pets play together in a mode called Bark mode. You can also send messages to them in a form of records. Another thing you can do is give the owners presents. This multiplayer feature works on all versions of Nintendogs, so you only need to have a DS and a copy of Nintendogs to access multiplayer.
While this title may not be for me, Nintendogs is an awesome title for the DS. I might even check out the Nintendogs and Cats games after playing this game. This is recommended for all ages who like a nice life simulation game, rather than the Sims DS games.
