@Wolfetan well like I said it is probably great for people in your position. Sorry you cant have a real one though, maybe one day.
I'm sure its great for people who are unable to have any real cats or dogs but for the rest of us i'm not really seeing the point here.
@carolynmichelle Then don't do a video review. Or, even better, wait to do a review altogether. I am aware that these are simply complements to your written reviews; however, it seems somewhat inexcusable not to mention anything wrong with the game. If a video review is to be made, I suggest that it should wait until it's good and ready. I'm quite disappointed in this one; normally, you do quite good video reviews to complement your excellent written ones.
@InvisiblyClear @Zephyxx To an extent, our video reviews are always a supplement to the text reviews. That's especially true with these 3DS reviews; our video team worked really hard to produce reviews for this, Lego Star Wars III, Pilotwings Resort, Steel Diver, Super Monkey Ball 3D, and Super Street Fighter IV 3D, all within the same very short span of time. Doing lengthy, in-depth video reviews for all of these games just wasn't feasible. The biggest pro in this game is plain to see throughout the video: the animals are adorable. The game sets out to deliver a heartwarming, easygoing virtual-pet-owning experience, and it largely succeeds at that goal. If you want more detail and a clearer understanding of the score the game received, I recommend that you read the text review.
2:49? Really? What a looooooooong review! Also, there was so much amazing content describing the pros and cons of this game! Seriously, we NEED Kasavin back. His reviews were AT LEAST 5 minutes.
I think it's more geared towards those of us who are renting and aren't allowed pets but always wanted our own little cutie. I want this game :)
Hmm.. if everything is so "charming" and "cute" then why did this receive a 7.5???? Never did you discuss the pros or cons in the game. Bad review, more of an introduction.

@Lakonas13 @MationMac The pets appear on the upper, 3D screen, but a silhouette of them appears on the lower screen when you're interacting with them. It may sound a bit strange but in practice it feels very natural.

i Love the fact how People play gory, intense shooters with characters who swear up a storm! but when they see this game they go all soft LOL! btw im gonna get this game when i get me 3ds! and i just bought crysis 2 i dont understand myself anymore lol. ^-^
I'm not a cat person, I've never been. The only cats I seem to like are the ones that grow up around dogs. Most of the cats I see just glare are you from across the room and attack your feet when you walk by them. Though I do like my best friend's cat. I don't think he realizes he is one though cause he drinks out the toilet and likes being picked up. I'd still play the cat portion of the game because I still think they're cute especially when they're balls of fur.
I think I want this. I live in a second floor apartment and don't have any pets. I could get a dog but I like big dogs and it would be kind of a jerk move to get a 70 pound dog when I don't have the space and it would annoy the neighbors when he runs around. This would be a welcome substitute.
Carolyn you are my new favorite reviewer on Gamespot! This game seems rather shallow and simple. But considering that the first batch of games ended up being the 2nd best selling game for the DS, I'm not surprised Nintendo has this sequel as a launch title. Will probably be the best selling launch title.
