It's fun to take on competitions with your puppy and see how you're dog is improving. You can also do special tricks with your dog when you gain his/her trust. When you take your puppy on walks, you're puppy sniffs goods out of the grass and take them to you as a present. The presents contain accessoires like hats, collars, and other stuff. It's fun to collect these items and put them on your pets.
If you're more of a cat lover, then you can choose two cats and a dog. That's because you need money to buy food and water for your cats and you can't earn money with them by taking competitions or walks, so you'll need one dog for that.
I'm excited to see if you can unlock more rooms or items when I reach 20,000 trainer points. Has anyone bin there yet? In the old version of Nintendogs, you could get a space room when you reached 18,000 tp.
