Nintendo Wii U Press Conference

The main thing I like about the wii u is the different gameplay opportunities the game pad can bring to us, I honestly think there's some potential for this, it's like a DS and a home console had a baby lol, u get the full hd console experience with the unique touch screen motion gameplay of DS/wii. As long as some innovative games come out to take advantage of this, not just gimmicky crap, I guess we'll see, also the fact that they played black ops 2 on both screens at the same time shows how powerful the wii u is, it can process the game on two separate screens and still remain smooth, I think that's pretty good!

Lego City, Mario, Nintendo Land... is this console for 3yr old kids?

I am looking forward it, don't think age has anything to do with it I will still enjoy it. I will probably get a PS4 or the next Xbox but not straight away this time.

Why would anyone want to play the same titles, such as Black ops 2, on a new system when they can play them on their current system?  Truly not worth it!

This seems like so much more of a novelty system. Maybe if I was 10 I'd think it was cool. Sucks that Platinum made the terrible choice to put Bayonetta 2 on the Wii U though.

wii sucks and it for kids and teens nintendo not a hard core system. all you 10 year old think it so awsome but news flash when u get older you wont be able to get this shit when ever you want it. on top of that the wii u isnt as powerful as ps3 .xbox it sightly lower. when while when xbox720 and ps4 come the wii u will look like garbage. on top of that what has nintendo done new hear. well NOTHING has ipads adn such can do that stuff for years.yes it might have it neat fetures but still. Anyone whos over like 20 knows nintendo no longer hardcore.nintendo used to be the bomb. let face it will still still sell because of all the the little kids that go to there parent for a wii u

after i get my wii u i will be getting eiher ps4 or 720 it just depends on price and games and if they ban used games or not !

judging by the amount of hate the Wii-U is receiving around here, it is going to sell like hotcakes.  just like the Wii, and the 3DS.  i cant wait to get my hands on it.  then next year or the year after, i'll be excited to get my hands on a PS4.  (sorry Microsoft, 4 RRoD on my 360 = no 720 for me).

I'm fine with sensible arguments that I don't agree with. But the trolling is getting on my nerves. If you're not willing to at least listen to another person's opinion, don't post your own. Don't expect other people to take your crap if you can't take theirs.

Anyway, I'm liking the Wii U. Obviously the first games will mostly be minigame collections and ports, but once developers start really looking at the potential of this thing, this is gonna be a fantastic system to own.

i don't care what the hardcore gaming market thinks of the wii u (basically all of you) because nintendo will still capture all of the casual gamers (the majority of the world), but this time they will get to add a few hardcore gamers into the mix. next time they'll have more, and more until they kill off their competition.

1st off, I'm pettey sure I won't buy the system.  I'm saving my money for a REAL next generation system for like either the PS4 or the next XBOX. But 'm just curious as too the complete specs of this new NINTENDO system. I already know the info stated above, but what of the "ram" "cpu" "graphics engine" ??????????

Big supporter of Nintendo in the past, but just don't see it happening. Having shifted to PC gaming a couple of years ago, it's going to take a lot to impress tbh. With the greatest of respect, this just doesn't cut it. Btw just a terrible launch by Nintendo... a PR nightmare really.

Nintendo knows what there doing. For a next gen console with an hd screened controller at 300 bucks, Itll sell well... It cant compete with ps3, 360, and they dont want too. There the "Interactive" console. We shall see where it takes them. But from the quick glimpses of graphics, they still dont even look as good as its older brothers, which doesnt make any sense.

Yea I'm going to throw down money for a console that graphically looks the same as my 7 year old PS3 and not even close to my PC.  Are you freaking serious??  Ultimate fail Nintendo.  And you refer to targeting the "Hardcore Gamer"???  Hardcore gamers want Graphics and Gameplay!  Graphics being the first on that list so people can visually realize the potential of the system.   I'll be on my PC waiting for a REAL Next Gen console.
