So you wanna start getting in Nintendo handled huh well the 3ds might be the perfect system for you. well this it comes with a pedometer, hd graphics, a digital download store for original titles and dsi ware titles, a mii maker, 3 built in cameras, augmented reality, MP3 file support, universal friend codes (there really nice), an internet browser, and much more. this successor to the ds is really worth it and the bundles such as the pearl pink nintendogs + cats and the flame red super Mario 3d land, tats just the tip of the iceberg with bundles and/or colors. Right now this console is retailing at $149.99 dollars and you should get this very soon before the busy holiday season. if you are buying this for a younger child you should go with the Nintendo ds because most of the features they will not be using but this is your money and it's just my opinion.
