A lot of people seem to hate this game, but I disagree I thought it was a lot of fun.

- "Just plain fun"
This was my first time playing a Ninja Gaiden game since Ninja Gaiden on the Nes I honestly had no idea that Tekmo was still making these games, but anyway I was shokingly suprised too see a lot of bad feedback when it came to this game I really enjoyed it, and sure there were probably some flaws but the overall experience for me was very positive. The graphics were good but I have seen better but hey what would you expect with the Wii U, but overall it looks nice, the controls feel very comfortable and are really intuitive, they make the beatem up segments really fun and not too tedious. The navigation is outstanding, you push a button on the Wii U gamepad and it tells you where to go, thats perfect I hate when games leave you hanging in the navigation department. The story was really good, in fact I was really suprised the voice actors were really good, and very belivable. the overall story was a little bit weird but I really liked it.
The main aspect of the game are Beat em Up segments, there not the best I have ever played but they are fun and the controls compliment them well, I love that there is a lot of blood and gore in the beat em up segments also Its just a really nice touch. The only problem I have with the beat em up segments is that you feel too weak as the character you are playing as, isn't Ryu some master ninja shouldn't he be taking these guys out like their nothing, but it does make for more strategy and I guess it's not too terrible. You are not going to want to play Ninja Gaiden in a whole sitting though because it can get repetitve, but the beat em up segments are fun so you will be coming back to it but I wouldn't play this game for hours and hours.
The story was really good, I didn't expect Ryu and the other characters to be soo.. well, bluntly said American. I mean Ryu is a Japanese ninja so I though he would be more of a Japanese character, but no he's not and thats ok cause I honestly like him this way in fact I thought all of the characters voice acting were really good, The story wasn't too complex but it kept me going through the game and I thought it was good nothing too special but I really liked it.
The graphics aren't too bad they are nice but the framerate isn't that great, but you know what dosen't change the fact that this was still a really amazing game to play. The controls were really good and felt really comfortable on the Wii U gamepad, and they made the combat much more eaiser, You could power yourself up more in this one and I really liked that. The Navigation was outstnding as I mentioned you press a button it tells you where to go, perfect why can't more games be like that.
Overall If you are a Ninja Gaiden fan I don't know if you will like this game because I have never played the other games, So I don't know what your opinion would be of this game but if you have never played Ninja Gaiden before and you have a Wii U this is your chance it's definitly worth getting.

If you've played the other Ninja Gaiden's, stay away from this one and don't believe the hype, even from other users.

I got bored and decided to play through Normal again and record all the boss fights. This is Dynamo the third level boss who can be defeated easily using a very easy move.Posted Sep 4, 2006
