Not as good as Pro or 20-02. This one falls behind in my book, but it still is a pretty good game.
The best graphics out of all the Hitz games
Sound = 8.5
A nice soundtrack featuring some good bands.
Gameplay = 4.5
The fallback of the game...nice that they added actual stats...but still...the actual play-in-game sucks. Scoring is a lot harder for you and seems to be a lot easier for the computer. The shootout mode stinks as well...you'll lose 80% of the time.
Story [Franchise,Season and Champ. Mode] = 7.0
Setup pretty well...but not anything special...lots of unlockables were from the first game to make it even more dissapointing.
Replay Value = 7.0
You might see yourself come back to play this.
Pros:
- New minigame mode is OK
- Hitz Hockey School is a great way to learn how to play
- New unlockables, but not many
- Sweet intros into the games
- New stats and penalties are thrown in with new and better dumping options
Cons:
- Gameplay is frustrating and the worst part of the game
- Most unlockables were already used in the first game
- Scoring on dynamite goalies is very hard
- All-Star mode is unforgiving
So in all I give NHL Hitz 20-03 a 7.0
