NHL 2005 is OKAY. I don't think that you should consider buying this game instead of, say, NHL ESPN 2005. Although it is a big installment from NHL 2004 it still needs some work. One of the biggest faults of NHL 2005 is the defence. It is nearly impossible to get by them. They always bodycheck you after you get by the blue line. The graphics are okay, but again they need some work. One good thing about NHL 2005 is you can create Open Ice. This means you can make the computer control the guy with the puck and you can control another player and get in posistion for a pass or a deflection. The problem with that is it'll either be offside or they'll bodycheck the computer conrolled guy down. One other good thing about NHL 2005 is you can play in the World Cup of Hockey. But that's about it for good things. Except there are lots of cool things you can do in Dynasty Mode like change your practice schedule and stuff but other NHL games can do that, too. Bottom line is NHL 2005 is just an upgrade from 04, and I think 04 is even better.
