What can I say but this game is the greatest hockey simulation to be developed yet! I have played the EA Sports series of hockey since it was created (I think the first time I played it was on the Sega Genesis) and was always a big fan. After playing NHL 2003 though it was apparent that EA Sports is content to sit on their heels and ride their previous success. I am very glad that Sega was not satisfied with what was out there in terms of hockey games. For those people who say that NHL 2003 is a better game, I just have to ask this: "Have you ever played hockey?" I have and enjoy the game greatly. I have also watched since I was 8 years old. I can say without a doubt that the gameplay in NHL 2k3 is unmatched. The graphics and sound are not as good as NHL 2003, but I'm not watching the game, I'm playing it. The depth of the gameplay for NHL 2K3 is unbelieveable. It was enough to turn me from buying the old standby of EA Sports. They had better look at NHL 2K3 and take some pointers or they are going to be left in the dust.
