NHL 09 is a just a great game. I'm not much of a hockey fan myself, but i found this game to be incredibly addictive regardless.
I have to say the best feature in this game is Be A Pro mode. You can create your own character and start your career as a hockey player. It has great RPG style character progression which is one thing i loved about this game.
The controls are also spot on in this game. Controlling your character in be a pro is feels perfected. Controlling a whole team doesn't feel as fluid, but its close.
Probably the only thing i have to say against this game, and its kinda a big one, is that it get boring and repetetive after a while. I like to keep switching positions to keep things feeling fresh, but it still feels like you're just doing the same thing over and over again. But also, i found that i didnt really care because its so good and addictive.
