Be a Pro - changing lines?

How do you change lines in Be a Pro mode? The directional pad allows you to choose the next line on the fly, but how do I get my specific player off the ice?

I tried skating to the bench, but the dude just stays on until a stoppage.

I'll try my best.

Usually, if you want to change your lines, it's set by the coach, not by you. If your blue circle ever happens to start flashing (usually after you've been on the ice awhile), go over to the bench. There will be a blue box to skate into and there will be a change of players.

    All you have to do is wait untill you see a blue crese apper near your bench and skate into it. when the circle around your player starts to flash from blue to dim blue you can do this.
