Great graphics and an amazing control set up make this game the best ea has come out with yet.
-great technical graphics (player movments are very realistic)
-a lot of fun new features (shootout, skills practice... etc)
-franchise mode is very detailed with many different options
-a lot of different online modes and leagues to choose from
-achievements are a lot of fun to get
-a great control setup (the skill stick is a lot of fun once mastered)
Cons:
-a lot of glitches in online mode
Overall Nhl 08 is an amazing game and is as close to perfect as any sports game I've played. The only thing keeping it from being perfect is the fact that the online mode contains a lot of glitches, one of which is the faceoff loop glitch where evertime a player touches the puck the game is reset to the most recent faceoff and continues until one player quits. Aside from that, the graphics are great, the game modes are plentiful and the controls are amazing. If your a fan of ea sports NHL games, this is an absolute must have!
