Great hockey game. One of my favorite sports games and I am not even a big Hockey fan.
Now when i bought the game i was getting a bit worried. I am not great at these games but the rookie setting was to easy and the pro was far to hard for me. But after practice I learned just rushing the net does not work at all. I learned how to actually take shots. Just watch some hockey and it will show you. Take slap shots from the point, the odd 1 timer near the net, a cross through the slot with a backhand. It has to be mixed up and scoring will start to work. This creates a far more realistic game of hockey.
One issue i have with the game is the lack of penalties. Especially when i look at the season stats through the dynasty. Some teams are looking at 100 power-play minutes where i have 8 and maybe 6 pk minutes. Where my other stats are all basically in line with the rest of the season. This is a small grip though.
I am having a great time with this game and its even making me have more interest in Hockey again.
