Even though EA Sports buys their domination in sports games, they created one of the most complete sports games to date.
The dynasty mode is very complete with works with the minor leagues well. If you don't understand salary cap structures in professional sports, it may prove a bit difficult to consistently put a solid NHL team on the ice year after year. Overall, NHL 08 has a great franchise mode that is worth every one of the 82 game seasons.
Just like its Madden counter-part, there are flaws that can be exposed over and over. The game does lack in difficulty even on the highest levels because of these flaws, but that doesn't take away from what EA Sports accomplished in this one.
