NFL Street Impressions

EA unveiled plans to bring several of its games to Sony’s upcoming PlayStation Portable this year. The announcements came as part of Sony’s pre-E3 press conference, and one of the games announced is a new version of EA’s recent arcade football game, NFL Street.

As with the rest of EA’s demo footage, the footage of NFL Street looked too good to be true. Player movement, speed, and model quality looked reasonably close to PlayStation 2 quality. The demos weren’t running on or made with actual PSP development hardware, so it’s hard to say if the final game will look anything like what was shown at the press conference.

NFL Street is currently scheduled to hit stores in the first quarter of next year, right around the launch of the PSP.
