Konami of Europe has today announced that the European version of Zone of Enders: The 2nd Runner, which won't be available until September, will boast a number of features not present in the game already being enjoyed in both Japan and North America. After checking out an all-new opening sequence with a remix of the main theme tune, European gamers will notice that the game features three brand-new levels: the Train Destruction Event, the Mars Melee Event, and the Carrying Up Ardjent event--all of which can be played either as part of the main game or individually in the new extra-mission mode. Two of the game's existing levels will also benefit from a significant redesign, although further details have not been announced at this time.

In addition to the new levels, the European version of The 2nd Runner will also feature new European hard and European extreme difficulty levels and a number of new models for the Jehuty orbital frame that players assume control of in the game.

Zone of Enders: The 2nd Runner, which was released in North America earlier this month, is a space-themed action game in which players assume control of a giant robot known as an orbital frame and take it into anime-style robot combat against the evil Bahram army.
