Xenosaga II goes gold
Namco's RPG journeys off to production; sequel to 2003 hit will ship February 15 for the PS2.
Namco today announced that Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Bose has gone gold and will hit store shelves February 15 exclusively for the PlayStation 2. The sequel is being developed by Monolith Soft, the same studio behind Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht.
The sci-fi role-playing game returns with many of the characters from the first episode, including Chaos, Shion Uzuki, and Kos-Mos. Gamers will play through several concurrent plotlines as they battle an alien race and save the human race from extinction. Along the way, they'll uncover the secrets of the Miltian Conflict and tie up loose ends from Episode I.
Xenosaga II features more than 100 skills for characters, including last revenge, overload, and double power. New to the battle system are the game's double attacks, in which two characters can team up to unleash one devastating assault.
Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Bose has been rated "T" for Teen and has an MSRP of $49.99. For more information on the futuristic RPG, head on over to GameSpot's previous coverage.
