Xbox Live getting Syfy original series

Oh one great thing SciFi channel did do for me was play an all day marathon of Firefly on a monday starting around 9am after i got off work from along 12hrs.  I never heard of the show - to many reality tv shows on fox - i don't even remember seeing a commercial for it. 

Needless to say after watching just a little bit i was unable to go to sleep that whole day watching Firefly. A very good day. 

yeah firefly was fox- they cancelled it after the 6th episode - one of the greatest losses to tv medium. 

One thing about the SyFy app is it is very hard to browse around in and get anything to play.  It will show alot of content but much of it clips - it took me a while just to find a full episode to watch. 

If the SyFy app on XBL had alot of its shows, mini series, etc available for streaming (even with some commercials, for free) i know alot of us would watch it more.  As it is now SciFi channel has alot of its shows on at confusing times and I cannot keep up with it. Hell alot of the shows on the channel have nothing to do with scifi and just don't interest me.  

As babyboomers and gen x gets older they will watch the same old shit on tv - this internet literate generation will require alot more effort on syfy's channel then a flashy new logo (stupid ass spelling of sci fi - like something you see on xbl gamer tags) and a half ass attempt to bring its shows to the 16-46 male dominant audience then they will have to remake the syfy app to work alot more smoothly with alot better content. 

Battlestar, Eureka, and Stargate are all gone.  Now SYFY has nothing so they make a 360 exclusive? 

Fail......And Microsoft fails as always.

As Sony keeps pushing out new IP games, MS is stuck to crap like this?  Where are the 360 exclusives?  O ya they dont exist...

From the company that cancels good shows and give you such classics such as Manquisto, Mega Shark ( and other Mega Monster Combinations) and the pinnacle of crap that is WWE Smackdown.

As soon as the writing gets good Syfy will cancel the series! Farscape, Stargate, Battlestar. I think firefly was theirs too. I know my brothers and sisters here will correct me if I am wrong.

i don't see peoples problem i mean them having a sy fy app does not stop me gaming so there is no issue. people just like to moan.

Hope this is better than Frankenfish lol. I swear kindergardeners write the scripts for syfys movies.

ps if this show was from AMC id look into it but Sy Fy is trash at best

How about some new IP instead... just from looking that one screen shot I can tell it has low production values (either that or they picked a terrible fucking picture for it). Bad production values usually mean bad directors and screenwriters. Bad directors means bad actor and bad screenwriters means bad story. Bad acting and bad story mean bad show. Bad show means GTFO. 

Microsoft, unless your bring Arrested Development back on the air just stick to games. And like I said before, make some new IP please.

I'm not interested in anything "Sy Fy" does.....to put it bluntly they suck and have no credibility and are creatively bankrupt......

I honestly haven't seen a descent show from them since Battlastar Galactica. 

When I saw the picture of this article on the news feed, I thought it was Jeremy Clarkson on the floor 0.o I'm pretty sure its him :P

I still never understood why they changed the name to Syfy. It looks so dumb.

I dumped Xbox Live. I play consoles for GAMES, not all this other garbage they are adding.

I would much rather M$ stop spending on trivial things and relying on Halo/GeoW/Forza/Kinect for the end of the year. Make more games, goddammit! :P

This is a gaming website, right?  I don't understand why this is news here.  It's well known that consoles don't just play games anymore, so that means that everything they do is not only for gamers.  Personally don't think this has any business here...

All I want from Sy-Fy is Anime since I like Ani-Monday only because they show Gundam 00 and other Anime I like. If they have Being Human in it I may consider it.
