Xbox KOTOR II confirmed for holiday 2004
LucasArts cements the release date for the sequel to its award-winning RPG; PC version due in February 2005.
While the last official trailer for Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords ended with the words "Coming Winter 2004," there had been some doubt as to whether the game would arrive this year. "Winter 2004 extends to February 2005," a LucasArts rep told GameSpot several weeks ago.
Well, now it's official. The Xbox version of KOTOR II will indeed arrive during the holiday 2004 season. "We were hoping we could bring the Xbox platform into December but didn't want to make the formal announcement until we knew an earlier ship date would not compromise the quality of The Sith Lords," said Mike Gallo, producer of the game. "We recently completed a very important milestone, which confirmed we can confidently do this."
LucasArts today also confirmed the PC version of the game would arrive in February 2005, as previously announced. KOTOR II will also ship internationally that same month. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's extensive previous coverage.
