Wolfpack Studios being shut down

i just found this game and it fricken rocks, like hardcore rocks, its got all the best features, PVP, player driven cities, politics. for any of you that think this game is dead, it is not. nobody may be fixing the bugs in the game, however there are still alot of players. and hey Gameloverx, adventure quest looks like complete SH!TE, looks like a crappy pokemon rip off, and looks like it was made by the devlopers of get tifffany. get off that stupid kiddy game and start playing some real RPG games. Shadowbane shouldnt be dissed so early on, it doesnt take form till you get to at least lvl 50, pvp is the name of the game in this one. and for those who think that would take forever, i made 50 in 5 or 6 hours. you lvl very fast in this game. at least you get past the lower lvls and into the higher ones so you can pvp. i highly recomend this game

yeah the MMO market is getting packed but just so eveyrone knows. You should check out Shadowbane before they shut it down. A lot of people good time and skills into making this game. If you like playing a theif, it was the best game in the MMO series, bar none. But unfortunately I guess it ended up getting bad after 1.5 years of release. I stayed for 1.25 and it was fun to the last minute until noone would group with you if you were a theif because they thought you were going to steal. Personally any MMO that comes out, shouldnt let everyone know your a theif, since well....thieves arent supposed to be noticed...

It makes me laugh when someone says they tried Shadowbane for 30 minutes and decided it wasnt any good. You cant do anything in 30 minutes.

I don't play Shadowbane because it SUCKS. I play Adventure Quest that you can check out at www.battleon.com and its free to play the game

Lauryn probably never heard of them because she's a console fan. This is for a PC game...remember, the comp-u-tah? LOL...I weep for the current generation of gamers.

Shadowbane was actually pretty cool, for its time, at least the very beginning (despite being delayed for years). All PvP all the time, and an interesting mix of new abilities and ideas. It was actually kind of fun that you had to watch your back because there was, in all likelihood, someone sneaking around you unseen, trying to steal your stuff (possibly even one of your party members). The city building had potential too... though I will admit I didn't stick around long enough to see it all go bad (which I understand it did). Ah well, we've seen plenty of first/second generation MMO developers come back to produce something new, so I'm guessing we haven't seen the last from the soon-to-be-ex-Wolfpack team.

Well hopefully they'll find them new jobs.

Well, at least they're not out-right dismissing those people. I think it's a very stand-up act to try relocating the employees within the parent company, rather than just letting them go. Way to go Ubi!

I met the main art guy Trey, at E3 in 2002. Nice guy, If he is still there i hope he finds other work in this cut throat industry.

Sorry for the folks that may lose their jobs (looking for relocation ops does not mean they will find them) but it is about time. Shadowbane was really horrible.

I played Shadowbane for half an hour and couldn't find any good. No big loss here.
