Wii U launching Nov. 18 at $299

So....alots happened....and....still...I don't have the Wii U, as i predicted.

No focus on core games/audience=no purchase.

A hard lesson that Xbox ONE will also learn soon.

Meh....everyone knows a Nintendo console isn't TRULY launched until a 3D Mario title comes out for it.  Ill wait for Mario Galaxy 3. Probably somewhere around Q2 2013. Hopefully, another 'classic' franchise like a Smash Brothers or Star Fox will be out by then.

At that time, I, along with I suspect many others will come to a gaming crossroads.

By March 2013, PS3 owners would have played the last call of exclusives for the console:The Last Of Us, The new Tomb Raider, Beyond, Bioshock:Infinite, and Dead Space 3.

At that time, I'd Predict owners of all 3 consoles (like me) will stage a mass exodus from Sony, trading everything PS3 that's not bolted down (read collectable) for a Wii U.

The Wii U seems very overrated to me... I'm just going to stick with my PS3 and 360 for now, and the Wii if I HAVE to play some Nintendo titles which tend to be the old school ones anyways. 

the only thing keeping me from pre-ordering this is out of the 50 titles going to be offered at launch or shortly after I am only interested in 6 titles ... I just cant justify buying this new system until i see games i really want to play (or "must" play). I will wait till they get a collection of decent games that interest me and then I will end up getting one...

will probably buy this because of Bayonetta 2

Was probably the last person to preorder my deluxe Wii U at my GameStop, said one of the workers. They just about reached their quota and were stopping preorders that afternoon. Owe a little over 180 left on the console and put 5 down on Super Mario U. Gonna hopefully get ZombiU as well by release.

I'm buying this, Zombi U bundled (with pro controller) for eur 399,- The next consoles from Sony and Microsoft are going to take a while anyway and they'll probably release at ridiculously high prices.

I must say, I commented a couple days ago. And I was exactly right. Everyone do Ctrl + F and look for "seekerofangels".. tell me he is or isn't a pathetic low-life that fills this forum with stupidity lol. Poor kid doesn't get enough attention at home.

Nintendo is Back with a Vengeance

I still plan on buying one,but not at that price it is too much like the PS3 and Xbox 360 except for the tablet controller so why would I want to spend 299? for another of what I already have for a Mario Title that will look like Mario Galaxy with clearer smoother look? Nintendo why not a 249.99 bundle with no tablet controller and 2 of the Xbox looking contollers? I would be more interested in that than the other:P

Nintendo will clean up the competition with this thing...

In other news, Best Buy and Gamestop run out of pre-orders of Wii U in America. Only 2 days after putting up the sale. This console will be anything but a fail. It might even be bigger than the Wii. 

Monster Hunter!  'nuff said.  Pre-ordered two of them.  thank goodness I'll have borderlands 2 to keep me happy in the mean time.

I notice the way sony fanboys don't only jump all over the 360 articals they jump over the nintendo ones to and show how no matter how good another product is they will buy the sony one. what are these people unwilling to give anyone else a try going to do when sony decide the console market is costing them to much? I mean when it comes to consoles it should not be about which brand make they console it should be about games on the consoles but you have these people that will buy sony regardless of weather it is a good or bad product. just lke people who will buy the i phone no matter what lame things apple do to lock it down. i have a wii 360 and ps3. 360 and ps 3 both good consoles. the original wii was a gimmik that wore of but that did not have games like zombie u and bayonetta 2 so i can see that the wii u is shaping up to be a good console and i have a feeling things that sucked about the orignal wii they will get right this time.

Better launch titles then the 3DS atleast.

I will absolutely love Nintendo if they start bringing tablet games to the Wii that you can play on their gamepad. Tablet games with joysticks that arent on the screen finally???? They could also have the play on the TV. I think Nintendo has a winner here and will steal the tablet market if they play their cards right.

I reckon Nintendo are not going to have such a bad launch of their new horse powered console, Which could again be the leading console in total sales and considering their past efforts Nintendo will probably get it right this time, Also hoping for more new exclusive releases instead of ports of PS3 and 720 past releases.Considering how long it s taking for games like "GTA5" and "The last of us'" Farcry 3 Watchdogs and more, then i guess i should not be hoping for anything impressive anytime soon, Nintendo new console is twice the power of PS3 and 720, So 60 frames would not be a problem, However,I am not keen on the tablet controller, looks like a nuisance when gaming and a costly controller to fix if needed ever.  The Wii remote controller style was bad enough not being a technological advancement to begin with, yet, and now we have to hold a big fat Tablet controller,and while gaming and doing other social Wii U activities then so far it seems we will need to fiddle back and forth things to do basic 1 screen instructions etc.  The Wii U will let me pause the game then look at the tablet controller to see a map, WOW maps are usually all one color anyway. Boring. Oh wait it can let me swap weapons which makes the tablet controller the premium choice for when your in the heat of the moment in a game... With games for example like Watchdogs and The last of us looking fantastic, Nintendo machine games should look little better and be easy to make games for. sadly the Wii U wont have a untapped surprise hidden power like the Sony PS1 did to help it last that much longer.NIntendo can hold it's own grounds pretty well, I think Nintendo should focus on making a machine with a brute horse power engine release the tablet controller with it. i say this because in the long run or a year or so later,  Microsoft's XBOX720 will piss all over the Nintendo console, and then of course the almighty superior strength and muscle of PS4 will again take a double crap over both Microsoft and Nintendo Toy consoles ( Wii U is in the cupboard collecting dust much like it's pretty ended up after getting bored of the Nintendo console fast will  relying just on the tablet controller and other kiddo controller hardware's 

So from Nintendo we are looking at getting a console with enough power and gimmick taste last and survive the release of the Xbox720 day. Thanks to the controller while playing games and doing other social Wii U activities like watch movies we will need to fiddle back and forth between two screens to do basic 1 screen worth instructions etc which PS3 and Xbox360 both do really well with one screen and the whole game community. I could imagine uncharted 3 on Wii U and the hassle the controller pad would be. I would rather focus on one screen without needing to look at another or feel like i have to use a compulsory addon gimmick like the controller screen. If looking at maps and changing weapons and other variety of little useless commitments to the controller gets you off, then yes a Nintendo console is suited for you. This controller Tablet gimmick is not any achievement in the game world to say we need two screens to do a one screen job. * Maybe the Wii U is a technological feast of remarkable achievement and Nintendo's games are so complicated and latest and the greatest that you will need to screens to play their games" LOL  The Xbox720 is like the Sega's Dreamcast shadow and the PS3 so far looks like it will have a strong ending unlike the Nintendo Wii  disappearing quietly into the cupboard.*(The controller pad tablet is going to be the premium choice for when your in the dead heat moment of a game LOL)*...With games for example like 'Watchdog's and the awesome looking 'The last of us' getting more fantastic each time it is being showed to the public, at this time Nintendo Wii U games should look little better or on par but most likely better, In saying that it will be easy for developers to make games on Nintendo's machine with no technology hurdle for developers to master. Sadly also the Wii U wont have a untapped surprise hidden power like the Sony PS1 and PS3 even to help it last that much longer all round.Nintendo claim to be the all in one console and game developer, but they stereotype themselves. I don't think Nintendo should be the king of gaming since they don't cater for gamers like me or games that i like.. Played one Mario cart, played them all. Same sh!t different smell..  I have debate this with mates and to me Nintendo consoles are a game machine for young people and friendly kiddie games for retired seniors to enjoy while helping the kids or something. We have classification for adult games now Nintendo should you care to notice. Anyways, Sony's PS3 is a family entertainment machine for all ages and with prac no restrictions or for what is released on the PS3 console . all of the much focused Nintendo to revolutionize gaming is always towards the younger kids or grandpa old retired people. Rarely do i see kids in a video game shop, never actually.. Nintendo grows up but Mario does not.  Nintendo have  tried to show that they are changing and starting to accept mature games like Resident Evil but that is where that stopped maturing and then have done nothing more to mature or appeal to hardcore gamers after resident evil.. * Would need much more than RE to grow up)..Seriously the Nintendo Wii U is a console for kids and young teenagers, You can not be a hardcore gamer on your kiddy Nintendo machine. There is no argument in that if your a true gamer and played or experienced all machines..  SO as technology gets better then so too does the kiddy games on Nintendo machine . and Nintendo seem quite happy to not grow up with the world and move technology when it 's needed. Because dealing with kids is easier sold on than the smarter hardcore gamers (which is why Nintendo have strong loyal followers because the Nintendo machine and Mario was there first fun cute games they ever played and as then gamer grows he always remembers Nintendo and Mario in his game heart   I have a Nintendo, Super Nintendo,and N64. I stopped at N64 life cycle and converted to PS3 which is the best gaming movement for me. Sure Nintendo games are great and fun especially if your young but for myself as a hardcore player i will not be buying a Nintendo Wii U and will wait for the heavy weight muscle PS4. Its like comparing a 4 liter car with Nintendo Wii U in comparison to supercharged brute horse power grunt V8 PS4.  With saying all this, I am a Nintendo Fan and own and experienced lots of Nintendo things up until the end of Nintendo 64. when i graduated from the Nintendo kiddy machine and onto the Xbox and PS. I do not care much for Xbox as most games that release on Xbox360 get released on PS3 and any Xbox360 games that are exclusive to Xbox360 only are no big deal anyways.. For you wont see half of what you wish to see on a technology under powered Nintendo console. Yes this is where the most powerful console stands and leaves track marks. The Nintendo Wii U is a upgrade to the Nintendo Wii  and not a huge leap in any direction except the opposite of what truly gamers want and terms of technology prowess, Nintendo can afford it and for the company  that is been in the console business the longest, It shows that you can sell lot of consoles but no games and definitely not the leader in games which is what Nintendo is all about and should stick to the formula not broken. I wont get a Xbox720 either,  just a PS4 to fill my gaming hunger and PS3 has done so. 

It's kinda sad that Nintendo is releasing a console that is "next-gen" and they're only getting their games on par with Ps3/360. "Black Ops II on the Wii U will run at 60 frames per seconds, just as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions do." The Wii U should be outclassing six-yr old hardware by a milestone! This isn't necessarily swaying my choice of purchasing it or not, but if the games look the same as they do on Ps3/360, then i'm not buying, Tablet controller or not.
