I don't know why some people cry so much. First of all you're probablt all old enough not to be so upset over video games, am I right? Second, Kravyn81 down here is right, just play the fricking wii version! Third, the damn thing JUST came out and already there are whiners?! Come on... Oh and last but certainly not least, how long have you guys been playing games? The new generations are just too spoiled with all this cross platform stuff. Who remembers the days of Genesis and SNES? Back then you would HARDLY EVER have same games on two different platforms and that was the beauty of it. You would pick a console based on wether you were a fan of FFantasy games or Mario, or if you like Disney/Sonic games and so on. Not to mention the fun of going over to a buddy's house that had the 'other one'. Get a life stop whining and find some friends to play other consoles with. Oh and HAVE FUN playing games not complain!
Why Lego: LOTR skipped Wii U
Warner Bros. rep says "primary reason" is Traveller's Tales was already working on Lego City Undercover for new system.
Lego: Lord of the Rings shipped last month for nearly every platform under the sun. It is available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PlayStation Vita, PC, DS, and 3DS. However, the children's-themed Lord of the Rings game is not available for the Wii U.
Fans of both J.R.R. Tolkien's fiction and Nintendo's new dual-screen gaming system may be wondering why the game skipped the Mario maker's first high-definition console. The answer, according to a Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment representative, is simple.
"The primary reason is that [Traveller's Tales] and Lego were already working on Lego City Undercover for Wii U," the representative said.
Nintendo director of product marketing Bill Trinen said in September that the company has been working with Lego on Lego City Undercover for "quite a while," noting that it wanted to have a Lego game for the Wii U launch. Though Lego City Undercover is not yet available, it is due out during Nintendo's "launch window" period, which spans November 18, 2012-March 31, 2013.
