I agree with Ronnie, 5 little maps came with game, exterminatus was "free" but it was supposed to be in game from the start. So far the only thing that will be free is CTF mode and that is nothing special. Kinda uncool is that they want to sell a bit remade exterminatus for chaos players and more importantly that they want to sell maps, which by me will split the community. I really think that when game offers so little number of maps like 5 at release then devs should add more for free so nobody would complain.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine to get paid DLC
Chaos Unleashed content pack to introduce new mode and three fresh multiplayer maps for $10 in December.
Space Marine received its first piece of downloadable content last week in the free Exterminatus pack, which introduced a wave-based co-op mode. THQ today announced plans to build upon the new mode with the game's first paid DLC pack next month.
The Chaos Unleashed content pack will include a new Exterminatus mode bearing the DLC's name that puts players in the role of a Chaos Space Marine in battles against the Ork and Imperial Guard alike. Three new multiplayer maps that support all modes of play and several new co-op enemy types will also be included. The pack is set for a December release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC for $9.99 (800 Microsoft points).
Space Marine casts players as Captain Titus of the Ultramarine chapter of the iconic Warhammer 40,000 fighting force, one of humanity's last hopes in an intergalactic war against the sinister Orks. Players are charged with defending an Imperial Forge World from the Orkish invasion, a task made more complicated when the forces of Chaos make their presence known.
A free update will ship alongside the Chaos Unleashed DLC that offers a new Capture the Flag to all players. For more on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, check out GameSpot's review.
