The Weekly Report is going through some changes.
The Weekly Report has evolved into…
The Daily Edition!
That's right. The community will be offering up daily doses of community-coated news for the fine folks here at GameSpot. The lineup will be the following:
Monday: This Week's Activities
Game nights, contests, events, activities--it's all going to be right here! Monday is the day to hear about anything we have planned.
Tuesday: Blog Bunker
Bringing the Soapbox a step forward and into the morning light, Tuesdays will be all about those fine blogs marked as editorial, along with a few other gems sprinkled in for added flavor.
Wednesday: Video Spotlight!
What's new on our GameSpot Spotlight Channel, and how about other awesome videos? Well, Wednesdays will be the day to tune in, with fresh new videos from video virtuosos, "as seen on GameSpotters," and GameSpot staff alike.
Thursday: Reader Reviews
We will be featuring those top 100 and top 500 emblem holders every Thursday, along with several user reviews for some of the top games of the week.
Friday: Weekly Wrap-Up
Missed a day? No problem! Friday is a great day to play catch-up for all the stuff we had going on during the week. It will also be the day to look out for the new community video feature You've Been Spotted, timeless member spotlights, MVPs, prize winners, and, of course, the union of the week.
Worried about your community news being steamrolled by another update? Don't worry! Any additional information will be marked as Breaking News, and we will still have a link directing you to your regularly scheduled Daily Report. There you have it! We're always looking for new user content to show off and display to your fellow GameSpotters, so if you have something, or even if you see something out there that you just have to share, feel free to pm Synthia.
Could you have this linked on the homepage, a bit like you have done with the Youtube channel? Probably more out of laziness than anything else :P
@-Saigo- @lim_ak @Sandulf29 @pokecharm @fabz_95 @benleslie5 @SQUALL20XX @deershadow @koolkat14 @bugbag @Stevo_the_gamer @Super-Poke-Bros @DreadDLordD @Darthkaiser I'm also gonna go ahead and point out that Wednesdays link works ;) so if you want to check out the videos for this week feel free they are pretty awesome.
I think this is a great idea for both the readers and writers of the report! It'll spread out the time it takes to write it by dividing it into smaller segments while allowing the reader to read something every day. Brilliant :)
I guess this is the consequences from the lack of commenting that was pointed out last week? interesting...
Sounds great, well... I've to observe how things gonna look like for the next month to tell how great this idea is, it's not jus the idea, the implementation play a big part ;).
@DreadDLordD: Nah, it won't add more work, it'll spread out the time we normally deal with them in one day. :D
@Stevo_the_gamer: Not really, since I can help out too. But, we already spend a lot of time on the reports in one day. Now, we can both spread out the times we deal with each sections, so it shouldn't add more work. Thanks for looking out for us though.
@deershadow: I'm always seeing Synthia with stones on her desk, all colors and types, so I'd guess it was that. ;P
And here I was expecting a Pokemon joke... :P Did the Weekly Report reach a certain level to evolve, or did it need a special stone of some sort? ;) -coughs- Anyway, nice news. :D
