As long as it comes out, then thats all that matters. Just make a good game and we'll be happy.

I'd rather them make it a really killer game then pop it out as quick as they can. On top of that Epic have a lot of reputation at stake with all the previous unreal titles as well as GoW, wouldn't want to take a step back now.

honestly as long as they dont release it without it being finished, its not like its being delayed 5 months, if we had to wait another month it would be just as fine, as long as we get a demo 1-2 months before i am happy

I need it to come out before November 30th so I can get it for my birthday for free so I dont need to pay for it. However if it comes out before Christmas that would be good too. Right now I can live with just playing with UT2004 with all the mutators and mods I downloaded I will be set for a while.

Okassar. That is the most rediculous theory ive heard. why is it 360 owners bag out ps3 so much? I think they have to tame it down for the 360 because its still using dvd. I mean, sure enough, at the moment, 360 does have alot more games, probably it came out a year before playstation 3. And sure some 360 games may have better visuals. But then again, PS3 is only new, developers havnt grasped the full potential of its power yet. You cant deny, that Hardware wise, PS3 is much more superior Console. I mean, 360 have to bring out a second edition of their console, to fix all the previous problems they had, and threw in a bigger HD, cause the sony's was bigger. So please stop your stupid assumtions.

Lol,Epic probably figured that 360 is getting to many games this Fall so early '08 will be good and they might as well take Sony's bribes if they still win on the 360 doing so:)Really,who's going to buy UTIII even if Halo 3 was the only thing they buy this coming Fall anyway?And I'm guessing each 360 owners will get atleast 3 @$#%$%#@ game(as I would,more than that is great but I don't want to go broke).So many choices,I know I want Halo 3,a big chance of buying Assassin's Creed,and I might feel safe buying Mass Effect.So overall,because of all the amazing games coming to the 360 this Fall,moving to early '08 and taking Sony's bribes(I know things you don't know:p)was a good move!

I would like this game to come out in November, but won't be too sad if it is delayed. There are a ton of good PS3 games coming out this November (Army of Two, Assassins Creed, and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune) and I don't have the $$ to get them all. A delay might actually benefit me...

Unless I have missed something, Ubi has never confirmed that Haze has been CANCELED for PC/360. The statements I have heard from the publisher is that no other platforms are yet CONFIRMED. Why would a company throw away nearly complete (QA not yet done) versions for consoles that have orders of magnitude greater market share and have a much higher game to console sell through? Makes no business sense (unless of course it flops on PS3 like Madden 08..then they might as well pack it in). A question: where has it been stated by Epic that the PC/360 version will be throttled to 30fps? I really doubt that zeppilin would fly with the PC crowd especially....kind of setting themselves up for a public drubbing if its true.

Delay it as long as necessary (well, within reason) -- I'd rather wait for a perfect update to the perfect shooter series than a lackluster version awaiting patches. As a series-long player, I'll wait for solid product.

Homerj , HAZE is only for ps3 and there are no plans for a 360/PC release and unreal for PS3 and 360 will run at 30 frames

@Yuck_Too Thats precisely why Haze is going to PS3 first...guaranteed revenue from timed exclusivity deal plus no major releases on compete with on that platform. The only thing that will screw either of these developers is if they get in a rush and release before they get it running right on the PS3. If the Sony fanboy hype stays high for these two, it will be the best advertising when they release to PC/360 where they can get the large sales figures. If they turn out like Madden 08....then they can pretty much kiss their real revenue streams goodbye..they'll just have to be happy with the money they got for the exclusivity deal.

damn! i've been waiting for this game for about a year or more now. but i'd rather have it later than never. and if releasing it in november means messing up some stuff in the game, i think i can wait. besides, there's still lots of other games comming out.

As far as all the talk of who paid who for exclusivity my bet is this. Developers have limited budgets and resources, with all the titles and FPS coming out for the 360 in the next couple of months why not focus on the PS3 which has a much less competitive market during the same timeframe.

Then after the dust settles move those resources back and release Q1-2 of '08 for the 360. Business wise that's a solid plan.

The exclusivity deal is off .. epic shut the deal down because they will make more money not being exclusive than what sony can offer them to make it exclusive. The xbox version will still release later though because epic doesnt release unfinished or unperfected games( and god loves em for it) Bottom line regarding the postponement though.. I'm all for it it ... id rather wait an extra year to play a completed and perfected game then a "almost done .mostly polished game" _____ Actually, PS3 won a period of exclusivity from Epic for this game. Both the 360 and PS3 versions were announced at the same time, i think the 360 version may have started before the PS3.

I'm looking forward to this game. The possible delay is a real setback.

As Sony has paid massive amounts of money for a timed exclusive deal, any delay for the PS3 will result in an equal delay for the other versions. PC version will not ship until the PS3 one does, and the 360 will follow in exactly the number of months stipulated by the timed exclusivity contract (looks like 3 months by the previous release dates).

Well since Gamespot editors won't update this, then you should all know, espcially those crying about how much the PS3 sucks, that Mark Rein has confirmed that UT3 for the PS3 is still on track for it's November release. So if you get your game news only here, then you should be ashamed of that, and then you need to find the site that debunks a rumor that never was really a rumor, it starts with Gamesindustry.biz. It's not about getting it right... I mean for the sake of argument they shouldn't get our hopes up if it's not going to be out. The game should be right and should take all the time it needs to get it right bu at least give us reasonable dates and at most most a one or two week delay, not a 1+ months delay.

dragonpuppy , carljohnson3456, The last time i checked neither FF13 or MGS4 are out anytime soon .. but there you go. but the point is fairly valid .. with a couple of exceptions ( darkness for one ) MOST ps3 third party games are shabby , inferior ports of the 360 version ... at the moment development will lead on 360 and PC and then transfered to the ps3 ... But you don't need to get your panties in a twist over that just give it time and it won't be the case.

RUT-ROH!! Man, if this doesn't get released by the end of this year, that will be a KILLER for the PS3. Pc gamers will have rysis, but us PS3 owners would be in for a big letdown.

Homerj, I just got done reading your last post, and "I am shocked... absolutely shocked" that you typed out that entire post thinking you were absolutely correct about everything you said. First off, the PS3 has alot of AAA potential games coming out this season... just the way UT3 is an AAA potential game, but it's not certain yet. Also, like Dragonpuppy already pointed out, you were wrong about "all third party games are 360 ports".

Homerj, I think you need to rewrite your sentences so that people don't get the wrong idea. Not ANYTHING third party for the PS3 is, by DEFINITION, a port. Last I checked, Final Fantasy XIII and Metal Gear Solid 4 aren't being made for the Xbox360. I think your sentence needs to read, "Most third party MULTI PLATFORM games for the PS3 are ports."
