Naughty Dog's upcoming third Nathan Drake game gets $100 top-tier bundle that includes wearable belt and necklace, as well as statue, steel book casing, and traveling chest packaging.
Series developer Naughty Dog has announced a $100 top-tier bundle for Nathan Drake's third console outing in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. The collector's edition (pictured below) will house an array of items, including a life-sized replica wearable belt buckle and necklace, a Nathan Drake statue, a steel book casing, and travelling chest packaging for the game.
In addition to the collector's edition announcement, Naughty Dog also has detailed the various retailer-specific preorder incentives for Uncharted 3, which spans big box retailers GameStop, Amazon, Best Buy, and Wal-Mart.
Gamers who preorder the title at GameStop will score access to the creepy crawler kickback. This ability allows gamers, provided they've amassed the required number of medals, to morph into a swarm of eight-legged creatures and take down their foes. For more on how kickbacks and other multiplayer components of Uncharted 3 work, check out GameSpot's preview of the game's multiplayer.
Those who preorder Uncharted 3 at online retailer Amazon will earn three bonuses, the first of which is the carpet bomb kickback, which allows gamers to toss three grenades to thwart the advances of enemies. Additionally, players who preorder at Amazon will be granted two weapon augments, allowing them to buff the capacity of their Para- 9 and G-MAL bullet clips.
Best Buy is offering gamers who preorder Uncharted 3 day-one access to the regeneration booster, an item that allows gamers to heal their wounds faster in the game's multiplayer component.
Lastly, Wal-Mart will offer gamers who preorder Uncharted 3 the callout weapon mod, which lets players equip an AK-47 with a laser sight, enabling all teammates to see the foe's location.
In addition to the above-mentioned retailers, other purveyors will offer an exclusive Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception PlayStation Network avatar and XMB theme for the PlayStation 3. For the full list of participating retailers, check out the post on the game's official site.
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is due out exclusively on the PlayStation 3 on November 1. The game will focus on protagonist Drake's search for a lost city, with the wily adventurer finding his way to the Arabian Peninsula and its bleak Empty Quarter. In addition to the new multiplayer overhauls, the game will feature new stealth and melee maneuvers, as well as stereoscopic 3D support.

@tidus55 Oh, yes, because I'm the only person in the whole entire world that is smart enough not to buy into this BS. I applaud your amazing logic. This is the comment section so people can voice their opinions on the article, which I did. Some companies listen to their fans when they complain, others only listen tot he sales figures. I think I covered both in my comment. You don't have to agree with my comment, or even acknowledge it's existence, but if you do disagree and feel it's compulsory that you have to reply, then please refrain from making such worthless and childish comments that have no merit or weight in any discussion. I have the freedom to speak and you have the freedom not to listen.
cant wait for the multiplayer beta!!!! :) i loved when the uncharted2 beta was out, i had a blast with it
So if I see someone wearing that belt buckle at Thanksgiving, then I know... To ask to borrow the game! Because in our house we have a game purchase embargo 45-60 days before Christmas. My wife might like the series more than me, so it's possible for an exemption on this one.
$100 is overpriced. I would only buy this CE if it had an artbook, soundtrack, and all the pre-order bonuses. It needs more contents. I hope they add more stuff.
@shkar I feel your pain bro but honestly you're paying extra for glorified plastic. I'm just gonna get the game. They can keep their keyrings, cupholders and whatever crap is in there.
@gatsbythepig muslims don't use the star of david. only jews do. I don't know why it's on the box. but, maybe it has to do with the lost city mentioned in the preview.
@gamingfrendly I was kind of joking, but yeah you are correct. It is also the star of David. It would make sense that Muslims and Jews use it since they are both Abrahamic religions.
Why do we GAMERS NOT FROM USA OR UK have to be left without LOVE for such BONUSes and features....????
@gatsbythepig thats an arebian very old decuration used to be drawn or curved on walls, storage boxes and matts some builldings too.
Saw this on the GI site the other day. I like the competitors differing bonuses. A little competition is always good.
one was great, two was epic, this one.....will be the best. I expect nothing but perfection out of this game. The spider morphing though.....well its better then a tac-knife with commando on while on lightweight and marathon pro
MY respect for Naughty Dog has been severely hindered by this. Store exclusive bonuses are BS! Especially since the usual suspects (Gamestop, BestBuy, Walmart) are NA only!! This is yet another game I will not be buying brand new. ND will not be getting my money! I don't give a crap how good the game is if they are going to become sellouts!!
Looks like they are making it almost Syfy. Turning into spiders & seeing winning team as skeletons, WTF are they doing to this awesome series?
My family and I have never been into Uncharted. We've always thought of it as an unsexy poor-mans version of Tomb-Raider. Tomb Raider is the game that will always be #1 in this genre. I remember when everyone was lined up to be Tomb Raider the day it was released. Those were the days when ladies had all the power. Lara Croft in Tomb Raider and Joanna Dark in Perfect Dark. I've heard both of those game series have new games on the way. So lets hope those rumers are true.
at least it's not $150 like killzone 3..... i was gonna buy that, but that's like buying a little over 2 games for one i'm on the edge on this........but.......i'll buy it
$100? Are they crazy. I'm going to get the game, but I don't think I'm going to waste my time with the case, belt, necklace and all that oether crap. I don't think it's work an extra $40.
I completely agree with Glazkrak. I absolutely love this series so when I saw the head line "Uncharted 3 Collector's Edition" I was excited to see what it was knowing I'd probably get it. Unfortunately I really don't care about small props and a hard case. I much rather receive an art book or something special in-game than what they have here. Its a shame...I guess I'll have to get the regular copy.
I love Uncharted but I'm actually a bit disappointed in this CE. I honestly couldn't care less about having a belt buckle, necklace, etc. I would much rather pay that extra money on an artbook, soundtrack, etc. I'll likely go with just the game this time.
im a huge collector for these editions but i dont know whats worse these or the resident evil 5 collectors edition way overprice
Seems like pre-order bonuses are getting better...which just makes choosing that more difficult lol.
Pre-ordering right away! Can't wait! This statue will look great next to my cole from infamous 2 statue!
