"PS2 owns england. and we all know the britsh have the best tastes (we do) " haha! it's obvious by the top 10!...and now all you sony fanboys are going to for the system with the best graphics with the ps3. even though the ps2 is graphically the weakest of last gen.
Lego Star Wars II stays at the top for a second week, but it's all change elsewhere in the top 10.
The force was strong with Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy for the week of September 17-23, as it managed to retain its position as the UK's best-selling game on the all-formats chart for a second week running. Chart-Track reports that the LucasArts game dropped 49 percent in sales from the week before, but it was still enough to hold off Just Cause, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07, and LMA Manager 2007, which were new entries at numbers two, three, and four, respectively.
As a result of the onslaught, most other games dropped places for the week. Dead Rising and Saints Row were both sitting in the top three the previous week, but the two Xbox 360-exclusive titles each dropped five places, to numbers seven and eight, respectively. The latest chart is also notable for being the first time in 14 weeks that Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories has dropped out of the Top 10 lineup. Take-Two's side story wound up at 11, while Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was a nonmover at 18.
Games that fared better included Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training, which reached 16 weeks in the top 10 and was a nonmover at number six. EA's The Godfather reappeared in the top 10 thanks to its belated release on the Xbox 360, making an impressive jump from 24 to nine. While there were no other new entries on the chart, Project Gotham Racing 3 did make a reentry at number 26, thanks to the recent release of a new Xbox 360 console package in the UK.
This Friday sees a number of high-profile releases, with FIFA 07 and Company of Heroes vying to make the next chart. Sony's B-Boy, Capcom's Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition, and Nintendo's 42 All-Time Classics could also make a splash, so check back soon to see how they fare.

It's nice to see the only next-gen console finally gettin some games in there (DS and PSP are handhelds).
Dantes_Monkey "PS2 owns england. and we all know the britsh have the best tastes (we do)" And you'll have to wait till '07 for PS3 to "own"
Or, "Ra-Devil", get over it and wait. I haven't played Okami yet, and what launch games would I play on PS3? Nothing. We can wait.
The British should hate Sony for the debotchery they have made of you. They don't care for you. They will never care for you. As I see it you have 3 opsions: 1) Buy a 360 and enjoy it. Play some solid games until the holiday season. 2) Move to America or Japan. Then you won't have to wait. 3) Kill a Sony representative and tell them you'll do it again unless they send some more Sony stuff your way. Well, I hope that I've helped.
Dead rising is so fantastic. If you have a 360 and dont have it go now and buy it. If you dont have a 360 go buy a 360 then buy dead rising.
You Brits should play more next-gen which is current-gen and less current-gen which is not last-gen.
We have to wait until Feb for Okami. :( So not only do we not get any PS3s but we don't get any decent PS2 games to tide us over.
thug_angel123 Okami isn't even out yet over here in the UK. Hence why it isn't on the chart. I'm sure your dreams will be filled and it will make number one on release, however you need to wait.
@ davidboggs2005 What the hell are you on? Why would you be happy that someone's prefered method of entertainment might disappear? Just because you might not like something does not mean you have to bash it, I mean what has PC gaming done to you, killed your pet frog when you were a kid or something? I don't like football does that mean I should cheer and gloat if it was to stop suddenly? Is your life so pathetic you have to come on here and be an idiot? Also, you put nothing of value forward to support your argument, you obviously don't know how PC gaming works. We have been told that PCs are going to be replaced by consoles for years now, and even if they do is that a good thing? I don't think so, I like to be able to build my own PC, to set things on it how I like, and to be able to mod and download mods without having to pay $5 for horse armour. Oh, and please try to write properly next time, its really hard for people to read a wall of text that looks like its been written by a four year old.
NEato! GReat stuff. I really hate it When people Do THis and TYpe like this, REally annoying, ANyone feel THis way as WEll? On to more important things, I love the facts that Cars are still on here, hey, where are the PSP games?
davidboggs2005 - I just made a comment about this elsewhere. You may be right to a point, BUT, devs will ALWAYS use PC's even if consumers might find it cheaper and easier to use a game system one day. -Once they get word processors and printers that is! [Cheers mate]
Just Cause number 2? The demo sucked. I hate the controls and its bland. Demo, yeah but enough for me judgement.
Lego SW II is such an addictive game... wooh look at PS2 go! How pathetic that 360 is still behind :D
Is Just Cause being underrated by GS, or does it actually suck? It looked like something that would be decent. (7.8+ rating)
kuzy that is stupid i mean why would sony not launch a ps3 just bc the games are selling this is just the uk market so if sony can win with just this market then they have to be lucky cause right now in us and japan , the ds gba and 360(barely) owns the charts
Sony is still strong with it's weak PS2... sony can win the next console war only with the PS2.. They don't need to launch the PS3
usmarines08 they have dead rising as a release date of september 8th when it came out august 8th....... thats the release date for the uk version
...and for Sony's "total dominance" reach 360's Calll of Duty 2 numbers that sold 200k units in the 1st month in the UK, it had to have a title that EVERY PS3 owner would buy, 100% - will that be possible ? I truly doubt.
harry007: man that's the most silly thing I've read in months,1st because there's 4 360 games in the list (out of 10, so 40%, for a game system with less than a year in the market where the copetition has 100 million units sold, everybody should agree that's quite impressive!), and they are not budget titles, so the compnies make the same money were they bought on lauch day or today, 2nd how come from Novembet 17 onwards will be "total Sony dominance" in the UK if the system is only going to be release in March and only 200K units ? Man... that Sony weirdo addiction is hurting your brain cell.
List isn't as bad as previous UK lists, but still pathetic. At least the system distribution is fairly even.
Glad to see a balanced spectrum of game sales. Lego Star Wars is fun and I think Just Cause gives a nice twist to the free-roaming genre. I can't understand what's with Cars. Maybe it's a budget title and kids dig it. Kudos to the UK gamers they really show they have great tastes and know what good games are made of. Unlike Japan where the industry is driven by name-brands, sequels, chicness and commercials... shame, shame, shame.
x360 is dead is UK.................those 3 games u saw made it to the list after a long 6 months............no pro evo and others would have no effect..........cause the ps3 hype would kill the ps2 competitors too. from nov 17 it will be a total SONY dominance
