F1 2010 is not finished, riddled with bugs. Codemasters should be ashamed of themselves. I'm not remotely surprised it has sold as well as it has; we've been waiting a long time for a decent F1 game. They have made very poor decisions in terms of their output in recent years. A long time ago they had a cast iron reputation, they have shot that to pieces. Im sure people are as excited as I was. I'm sure they'll be as gutted as I was when they encounter the bugs that make it unplayable: the rest of the field not pitting is a cracker, as is the lack of sector 3 times. Wasn't the point of console games that people don't have to mess about getting patches? That they would actually be finished? This product costs £40. Every single review I have seen fails to mention the fact that it is riddled with bugs, thanks for that. Maybe it will work around the time F1 2011 is released.
UK Chart: F1 2010 overtakes Halo: Reach
Codemasters' F1 2010 enters the UK chart in first place.
Codemasters' F1 2010 has stormed to the top of the UK chart, compiled by Chart-Track. Halo: Reach has been pushed down to second place in only its second week on shelves, after a surprising 80 percent drop in sales. The week’s other big new release, Dead Rising 2, entered the chart at number three. According to Chart-Track, F1 2010 sold more copies than Halo: Reach and Dead Rising 2 combined.
Also according to Chart Track, F1 2010 is the first officially licensed Formula One game to reach number one in the UK chart since Sony's PlayStation-exclusive Formula One 2001, which was released over nine years ago. F1 2010 also sold more than 10 times the number of copies of the 2001 game.
Sid Meier's Civilization V debuted at number four in the UK chart, forcing Sports Champions for the PlayStation Move down to fifth. The latest rhythm game from Activision, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, entered the chart at sixth.
Final Fantasy XIV, the new massively multiplayer online game in the famous Square Enix franchise, managed to make the top 10, despite being released only as a collector's edition this week, with a standard version following next week.
