THQ details $17 bundle including 11 new fighters, 10 vintage UFC fights, and instant access to all unlockables; Season Pass free to those who preorder from publisher's online store.
UFC Undisputed 3 was already in store for a slew of add-ons thanks to an array of preorder bonuses announced last year, but today THQ detailed still more DLC for the upcoming fighter, along with a Season Pass subscription to get it all at a discount.
Available at launch for $17 (1,360 Microsoft points), the Season Pass will include access to 11 new fighters, 10 additional Ultimate Fights, and instant access to all of the game's unlockables. The unlockables and heavyweight contender Alistair Overeem will be available at the game's February 14 launch, while March and April will each see a pack of five new fighters and a pack of five new fights introduced.
When purchased separately, Overeem will cost $1 (80 Microsoft points), the unlockables will cost $2 (160 Microsoft points), and each of the fighter and Ultimate Fight packs will sell for $5 (400 Microsoft points). That makes the Season Pass a $6 savings over purchasing everything separately.
THQ also detailed some new DLC plans not covered by the Season Pass. The publisher will be offering a pair of Ultimate Fight packs at launch free of charge, as well as a Create-a-Fighter Boost Pack for $3 (240 Microsoft points). The boost pack bestows players additional points for their edited characters' attributes, which THQ has said can "save an estimated 8-10 hours of gameplay."
Those who want the Season Pass content but don't want to spend the extra money on it can get it for free by preordering UFC Undisputed 3 directly from THQ's online store. The publisher is also offering free shipping for the game.

Any idea how much it will cost if you buy the game directly from THQ, does it cost more than buying it elsewhere ?
@Gen007 Season Passes and Online Passes are two different things. The Online Passes are required to play the game online, while Season Passes are a discounted bundle of the upcoming DLC. So with a Season Pass, you pay for all the DLC upfront at a discounted price and then download it in-game when it becomes available. LA Noire, Gears of War 3, and Mortal Kombat all used the Season Pass system - and Call of Duty Elite is also a similar system since pay first then get the maps as they become available.
Strange, that all that extra stuff should already be in the game. At least you can get it for free by buying it off of THQ's website. This really makes me think that all this stuff should be free anyways. Fighting and Sports games shouldn't even have DLC unless it's going to make significant changes to the game. Like with NBA 2K12 they added a Legends mode which actually included a lot of players and modes. It was really a completely different game from NBA 2K12.
i am of not buying a game at all with a season pass option. i am sick of getting half made games with no options for 60 bucks. now they are starting this pass crap to get even more from us. i onlu buy games for 12 bucks now because these devs have become too greedy!
the gamer always gets it in the butt , if it's not a delayed game it's pay for DLC which most of the time does'nt amount to much ...
Really dosen't help THQ in their time of need. I wish we could get some hard data on weather or not Online passes are actually helping or not. From what Ive seen all it does it cause less people to become interested in your game. All the energy that the industry is putting into fighting used games could be better spent making better games. Its the ultimate irony that COD doesn't have an online pass but continues to sell millions which isn't supposed to be possible because of used games according to the game industry. Good games in general sale well regardless of any type of pass. Heck some of the best selling games of all time don't have an online pass. I just really have a hard time believing that these passes are allowing them to rake in more money and i feel it actually does the opposite in the long run and ends up hurting them overall.
Its easy to make a bunch of dlc packs when you leave out a bunch of people/items from the disc version. Why cant they just make a game without DLC packs anymore? This is the kind of stuff that should be on the disc, and they wonder why people buy used games over new copies.
At .74 a share, They're gonna need every penny they can get their hands on, due to the company scheduled to be delisted from the stock market in July and be dead altogether.
