Ubisoft registers mobile domains
French publisher picks up pair of portable-related URLs; company has no comment on the matter.
It appears Ubisoft is seeking an expanded presence in the mobile space.
As spotted by technology news site Fusible, Ubisoft has picked up domain names Ubisoftmobile.com and Ubisoft-mobile.com.
The company has a long history in console publishing, but the firm previously brought some of its major franchises to mobile platforms like Assassin's Creed: Rearmed and Prince of Persia: Warrior Within for iOS devices.
Additionally, speaking with GameSpot last month about the Just Dance franchise, Ubisoft said it was interested in bringing at least that series to every available platform.
A Ubisoft representative told GameSpot, "There is nothing to comment on regarding these domain names."
