Nice to see Tony Hawks again will definitely be getting this one. I just hope that their is a skate park editor included in this version for a sure buy.
E3 2012: The fifth annual XBLA Summer of Arcade program includes Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD, Deadlight, and Wreckateer.
Xbox has unveiled the downloadable titles in Xbox Live Arcade's 2012 Summer of Arcade program. A letter from Xbox Live head Marc Whitten, published on the blog of director of programming Larry Hyrb, names Deadlight, Dust: An Elsyian Tail, Hybrid, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD, and Wreckateer as the games set for release over the five-week period of the promotion.
Deadlight is a puzzle platformer with zombies; Hybrid is a sci-fi third-person shooter; Wreckateer is the Kinect-based castle bombardment game as shown off at today's Microsoft E3 conference. Dust: An Elysian Tale, meanwhile, is a hand-painted action number originally destined for the Indie Games channel. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD, the highest-profile of the Summer of Arcade titles, is the Tony Hawk series reboot, bringing back familiar tracks from Pro Skater and Pro Skater 2.
No pricing details have been confirmed yet, but last year's Summer of Arcade promotion games were 1,200 points apiece, except for Fruit Ninja Kinect, which was 800 points. The season began on July 20, and Xbox owners who purchased the whole set received the action role-playing game Crimson Alliance for free.
skater and biker games are for losers. I need a gun to stay happy. Now if they made a game about shooting stupid skater kids I might play that.
i hope they dont change the soundtrack for tony hawk hd like sega did with crazy taxi on xbl. the tony hawk games arguably have some of the best soundtracks. even if some of the tracks are a decade or more old, its a crucial part of the tony hawk games. ill be damned if they throw in some lady gaga. :(
Not sure why they decided to put Hybrid in the Summer of Arcade. I played the beta of this game and it is nothing special at all, actually it was very disappointing after reading the hype. While it is a third person shooter with cover based mechanics, it is very limited in terms of movement and gameplay. Very mediocre in my opinion.
Honestly, that Tony Hawk game is probably the title I'm most looking forward to this summer.
Here's hoping they get it right.
Wasn't Crimson Alliance free to everyone? I got it free and I never bought one of the SoA games last year (As they were almost all terrible looking).
Regardless, these titles all have a lot to prove, and to be honest the only decent looking ones are Tony Hawk and Deadlight.
@maximumbarmage Crimson Alliance is a free game, but you can only play one level as any of the three classes. You have to buy one character pack for 800 points or all three for 1200 to continue the game.

Trials HD and Minecraft are crappy/uninteresting? Then what exactly counts as interesting?
