Last month, publisher Square Enix delayed the game from its previously announced fall 2012 release window. Tomb Raider is the first installment in the series since 2010's downloadable multiplayer-focused Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, and the first stand-alone game since 2008's Tomb Raider: Underworld.

Nintendo gamers aren't likely to get their hands on the new project, as the studio also announced that it had no plans to release the game on the Wii U. For more on Tomb Raider, check out GameSpot's latest coverage.
