@lilromeo0606 I didn't, I said they become Ninja Turtl--- WAIT A MINUTE!! WE'LL MAKE A DLC THAT DOES EXACTLY THAT!!!11! Making the SAME DLC under a different name!! GENIUS!! All of Activision thanks you, lilromeo!!
Ninja Turtles display at Toy Fair 2012 lists game publisher as a cross-promotional licensor for new cartoon series.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back with a new cartoon, new toys, and apparently a new game from Activision.
The news stems from a series of pictures on ToyArk documenting the Playmates Toys booth at the recently wrapped 2012 Toy Fair in impressive detail. Among the pictured items is a sign detailing Playmates' marketing plans for the toy line, including "Cross promotions with key licensees, including [comic publisher] IDW and Activision." IDW announced its deal to make new TMNT comics last year, but Activision has yet to confirm a game featuring the foursome.
Activision would be the third gaming publisher to try its hand at a Ninja Turtles game. Konami was the brand's first and longest-running publishing partner, with a string of games lasting from the Turtles' NES and arcade games of 1989 through 2005's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: Mutant Nightmare. Ubisoft took over the franchise in 2007, starting with tie-ins for the computer-animated feature film TMNT, and it produced a handful of titles during the following two years.
As of press time, an Activision representative had not responded to GameSpot's request for comment.
A dream come true would be to see Rocksteady make a new TMNT game with the same amount of love and care that they've poured into the Batman games.
Expect the game to have One NORMAL turtle. Then there will be a DLC to have 3 more NORMAL turtles. Oh wait, Don't do that when you can milk even MORE! Make 3 DLCs for EACH turtle!. THEN make a DLC that turns them into Ninja turtles, Naked. THEN make a DLC that gives them bandanas and weapons. THEN release the sequelm which makes all the DLC you paid for obsolete!. Activision-- Ruining your childhood, one show at a time.
I usually don't follow the crowd but in this case: *clears throat* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! It's bad enough Nickelodeon owns all rights to the Turtles but Activision getting involved with the game? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I have only one thing to say if this report is true: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Anyone but Activision developing a TMNT game. Leave that to Konami.
@Firehawk998 I think Krang and Shredder would have something to say if their minions started making video games ;-)
People are already making DLC jokes lol. Game probably comes with the turtles only. They'll charge separately for the bandanas and weapons.
must be one of them new fin-fangled IP's Activision claims to innovate... seriously enough with the tmnt beatem ups, how many times will activision dredge the bottom of its barrel, their running out of old IP's to re-invent, f*in snake oil salesman. seriously somebody make streets of rage 4 already, best beatemup series period!
Activision......lets see.....EVERY single time I buy one of your games.....it disappoints......I will not be buying from you any longer....and shouldn't you be making another CRAP of DUTY game anyway? JUST GO AWAY!
The recent rumour was that Rocksteady was suppose to make the TMNT game and really hoped to God this would have been true but if this report now comes true then I have one thing to say :- YOU ARE TEARING ME APART ACTIVISION.
(sigh) Really? Like this horrible property hasn't been beaten into the ground enough? Activision has more money than they know what to do with. Why don't you try investing some of that dough into, oh, I don't know, maybe something new and original. I realize that's a tall order, but you could throw a bone to us gamers every now and then.
I would be more happy if Activision create the hype(but don't touch the game) and Rocksteady develop the game
If they implement a decent fighting system, they can create a great game. (i know it's not simple but not impossible as well :) )
I want rocksteady to create openworld TMNT game with the same engine like Arkham City, Activision is only good in creating some massive-destruction brainless games
Oh no no no not Activision!!! i want RockSteady or Ninja Team to do it i want the old cool TMNT games like!
When the game is released, you'll only be able to play as Leonardo. Each month, they will add a new turtle and then the months afterwards, they'll just finally add the boss battles. In short: No. Let the Arkham City guys do something with the Turtles.
rocksteady should makea tmnt not Activision great another fail tmnt thats gonna be cartoony and stupid
hope not. sum things just wont die back when i was 6 and such i was a big TMNT fan but now im sure most kids dont look at it at all and the last films shows and games were very lazy and bad
What the hell does Activision want with TMNT? They should just stick to Call of Duty and let this game be done by Rocksteady who would really know how to make it great. Nobody wants to have a yearly TMNT release. We want one great game not a series of screwed up installments.
