THQ ships Scooby-Doo! for the Game Boy Advance
THQ's latest handheld game based on the live-action Scooby-Doo movie has hit retailers.
This morning, THQ announced that it has shipped its latest handheld game, Scooby-Doo!, to retailers. This amateur-sleuth-themed action adventure game allows players to take up the roles of the pesky teenagers, who must complete missions and search for clues, ultimately solving Spooky Island's big mystery. The game's visual style is inspired by actual movie stills and artwork, and it features prerendered environments and the classic characters of Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, and Velma.
"THQ has established itself as the top third-party publisher for all Nintendo Game Boy systems by pairing popular TV and movie franchises with quality gameplay," said Jeff Lapin, vice chairman and COO, THQ. "We are delighted to be launching Scooby-Doo! to the 12 million Game Boy Advance owners here in the US in conjunction with the Warner Bros. theatrical release."
