THQ announces GBA racing game
A new Hot Wheels game is in development for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance.
THQ has announced Hot Wheels Burnin' Rubber for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance. In the game, players will be able to select from over 25 vehicles from the 2000 and 2001 Hot Wheels lineup and race around 16 different tracks. Over 20 hidden cars and a variety of bonus levels will also be included in the game. Aside from the primary racing aspect to the gameplay, Hot Wheels Burnin' Rubber will also feature car customization options that will let players tweak such aspects as the car's engine, tires, suspension, and exhaust.
"THQ is thrilled to expand the Hot Wheels videogame franchise with an all new Game Boy Advance racing game,'' said Michael Rubinelli, vice president of product development at THQ. "The speed and performance that Hot Wheels signature car designs are known for, coupled with our Game Boy Advance development experience, promise a quality racer for kids of all ages.''
Hot Wheels Burnin' Rubber will be released by the end of the year for the Game Boy Advance.
