For anyone who hasn't played some of the earlier Thief's before you guys should probably go do that, they're some of the best stealth games out there.
'Thief' announced for next-gen platforms in 2014
Eidos Montreal confirms new game coming to PC and next-generation platforms in 2014.
Update:
Game Informer has confirmed "Thief" as the cover of its April issue. "Series hero Garrett returns to the Gothic, industrial metropolis known simply as the City to steal any and everything that will make him richer. Unfortunately, the City is broiling with social tension as it is ravaged by a plague and lorded over by a political tyrant known as the Baron. In order to survive his adventures, Garrett will have to pay attention to his environment and make use of the many possible paths through each of the game's levels."
The magazine also confirmed the title would be launching for the PS4, PC, and "other next-gen platforms" in 2014.
Original story:
Screenshots of a next-generation Thief 4 have leaked online.
The game is expected to be officially unveiled imminently, although user GamesManiac on Russian social network VK.com seems to have unearthed the images early.
The 16 screenshots appear to be scans from a magazine, with GamesManiac claiming Thief 4 will be released in 2014 for the PC and next-generation consoles.
Four of the images are from a first-person perspective. Lock-picking is also shown, along with various other sneaky activities in a world of cobbled streets and murky lighting.
The critically acclaimed Thief series has not been seen since 2004's Thief: Deadly Shadows, though Thief 4 has been confirmed to be in the works at Eidos Montreal since 2009.
All previous games in the series have cast the player as Garrett, a master thief in a steampunk and supernatural world.
