This video is boring, but the game is awesome on better stage than this one! For instance this part: http://www.youtube.com/watch?list=PLE7139141779F944A&feature=player_detailpage&v=FzEK-pkylyk#t=42s I love rythm game since parapa, bust a groove, Space channel 5 and more recently, rhythm heaven! So why not a Final Fantasy? it's not like the Versus 13 team is working on this spin off! Don't forget Square made the awesome FF 4-5-6-7-9-12, FFT/tactic's ogre (remake), chrono trigger/cross, Xenogears, Romancing saga, Tobal, Treasure HunterG, Bahamut Lagoon, Seiken Densetsu(snes), Kingdome Hearts, DQ8 and more awesome game! So because they screwed on FF13(imo and many else) and FF14, don't make them this awful.. At least they always try to create new things! Not like some other who rely too much on their "hot" game and don't make much improvment effort(only on marketing)
Music rhythm 3DS title to feature more than 50 songs from franchise; Aerith, Vivi, Cid, and more added to cast.
The Final Fantasy series is renowned not just for its story, but also for its huge library of music. Square Enix's music library for the franchise is so big and popular that it has spawned concerts like Distant Worlds and, most recently, an upcoming rhythm game called Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. The company recently finalized the Japanese release date of the 3DS title on its official website: February 16, 2012.
The game will feature more than 50 songs from throughout the Final Fantasy series. Players have to hit inputs to the beat of the song using the 3DS's touch screen. The game will also feature SpotPass options.
On a related note, newly announced characters in the rhythm title include Snow (Final Fantasy XIII), Aerith (Final Fantasy VII), Vivi (Final Fantasy IX), Prishe (Final Fantasy XI), Faris (Final Fantasy V), Cid (Final Fantasy III), and Princess Sara (Final Fantasy). These characters can be recruited and unlocked by collecting crystal fragments in-game.
Square Enix has yet to announce a North American version of the game. For more information, check out GameSpot's coverage of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy from the 2011 Tokyo Game Show.
I really think it can be fun. I try to keep an open mind about games, they don't need to repeat themselfs like that. Nobody ever says anything bad about nintendo trying to turn Mario into a kart racing game, or a tennis game, or a soccer game, or a golf game, or a "minigames" kind of party game, or a game about olimpics competitions with another character that has nothing to do with mario (sonic). Than why should people care if SE is actually trying to make something diferent with this franchise? Just play and have fun (or don't).
Flat out silly imho.Charging for the awful game which is ff xiv and now this.I remember anticipating an ff game more than any other coming out. Now I just shake my head. But kudos to those that will enjoy it.
i like rythumgames much since guitar hero and i love ff ^^ so still even if not everybody will enjoy it both thumbs up
take a look at the offical website and the trailer there instead than the video here - that might make u change ur mind - since this video sucks but official site show way more and its lovely:D
hm...its actually a good idea if well done rythm games can be awesome on thouchscreen and right now im loving dissidia 012 soo much cause of the music that brings back so much memories of the good old ff games so yeah - i think this is a very good idea - just hope its made well and ill buy it:D
-_- Square Enix do you enjoy being the butt of our jokes now? Seems your reveling in it at this point. Its been forever since you have released anything good. Still waiting to see if Versus 13 will be any good or if Kingdom Hearts 3 will ever release any info.I wonder which will come first....
another cute Nintendo game what a shock! Pfft, I can't see Nintendo getting more mature titles in the future.
Threatrhythm... my reaction: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Vt2F2YKzyA&feature=related
Dont care about this game i care about new ps3 title an and next one. But i really care if they did ff7 remake
This seems interesting, at least to me, because I just love the FF music by Nobuo Uematsu. Maybe getting this when i get 3DS and this gets little cheaper, doesn't really seem like it's worth the full price. And I don't think any of the FF games have been bad, not even the spin-offs, at least what I've played(Crisis Core, Revenant Wings, Dirge of Cerberus). I even think X-2 had the best battle system in the entire series(though not the best story even remotely), and XII Revenant Wings is one of the best FF games. So what if they're not like all the other ones? They're trying new things, and in my books that's a good thing, taking risks, like every FF game in the main series also does, like materia, junctions, abilities, sphere grid, paradigms etc. Not all of them are as good as others, but none of them are really bad. At least they don't seem like repeating the other one. Even X-2 made already awesome battle system better, and didn't feel like repeat even though it was a sequel.
soon we shall have a final fantasy: dance central on the kinect, what the hell is wrong with enix, at least give us a tiny update on versus 13 for god's sake!!!
Wow, Final Fantasy and rhythm games... two concepts that expired creatively about 5-10 years ago. What could go wrong?
