The Old Republic's 'Rise of the Hutt Cartel' expansion out April 14

When EA says FREE TO PLAY with so many restrictions for free to play players .... is ridiculous to say the least.

Anyways , biggest flop of this generation by far... 200Million game and failed so hard..

I'd encourage people to take a look at Tera Online instead, or play a trial of World of Warcraft. My experience with SWTOR is that it is directly annoying to play most of the time, unbalanced, filled with hackers, small sales in the face to unbalance the game even further, extremely liniar questing for an MMO and much much more. SWTOR is a decent game, but for me personally, it doesn't even live up the second expansion of World of Warcraft. Star Wars is brilliant, a Star Wars MMO is great but SWTOR is a great example of how NOT to do it. I hope SWTOR either gets replaced by an MMO that can actually live up to the standard of MMOs these days or eventually becomes good.

I stopped playing after the first 2 months because it was just too easy. Had nothing to do with the "WoW clone" argument, or KOTOR 3. The space combat missions, quests, flashpoints, and operations were just ridiculously simple. The only difficulty in an operation I remember was the final boss in The Eternity Vault was bugged most of the time and made it next to impossible to beat, but the guild I was in and I still managed to beat it. Karraga's Palace was super easy. Never having to leave the capitol ship to do all but I think 1 or 2 flashpoints was super lame. Getting geared was super easy. The PvP maps got super boring, and the open world PvP was next to non existent, besides the garbage that was Illum.
The stories were good though, can't take that away from it for sure.

Having played the hell out of Mass Effect over the last few years I would love to see a KOTOR game get that kind of voice acting, HD graphics, structure (Mass Effect 2's structure anyway, loved them Loyalty Missions).

Enjoy paying for a patch.

Man, are the the Whatever Species Jabba Is all part of a crime syndicate? I think even the Dark Jedi Hutt Leia had a lightsaber fight with was a crime boss. Even Twi'leks get to be politicians and stuff.

prefered status is better, buy anything over 5 bux and SOME restrictions are lifted. Biggest one is credit limit (sub=unlimited, prefered=350k, f2p=250k). anyone who's played this game before knows that the galactic trade network has items for level 50's worth more then 350k.
Real definition: Pay to win. If you don't play a lot of games and can afford to pay your internet bill and this game is more your taste, its worth the money. just be prepared how naked you will feel when you stop your subscription and lose most the stuff you depend on lol

I had fun with The Old Republic when it released. Unfortunately, the game started to become a ghost town, so I quit. Then Guild Wars 2 came out and I have found myself enjoying it even more than I enjoyed ToR.

its the best mmo out there...considering that your having a life outside the game to live and you r not playing 24h a day

First Rise of the Penix and now Rise of the Bhutt

after the disappointing AoC this is my second MMO and I started f2p in december, subscriber since january... beats every MMO out there!

Still can't believe how anxious I was to get my "Your Sage Begins Now" email.  Talk about a missed opportunity.

I'm more excited about the double XP weekends leading up to it's release lol
