The Last of Us multiplayer shown off in new screens
Naughty Dog offers first look at upcoming PlayStation 3 action game's mysterious multiplayer mode.
Today, just eleven days before The Last of Us hits store shelves, Naughty Dog shared the first images of the game's mysterious multiplayer component.
Posted to Sony's Facebook page, the 10 images show characters not battling infected creatures, but rather each other.
Various weapons are shown, including a flamethrower, a pistol, automatic rifles, and melee objects like a baseball bat.
It appears special powers will be a part of The Last of Us' multiplayer mode, as in one image, a character's outline is displayed through a wall.
Sony said gamers should stay tuned for more details "soon."
Naughty Dog lead artist Nate Wells previously described The Last of Us' multiplayer mode as the "best ever conceived."
The Last of Us launches June 14 worldwide exclusively for PlayStation 3. For more, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
