The Dam Busters ships
Strategy First and Just Flight announce that their latest Flight Simulator add-on is now in stores. New screens inside.
Strategy First and UK-based developer Just Flight have today announced the release of The Dam Busters in North America. The World War II-themed add-on pack is compatible Microsoft's Flight Simulator 2000, Flight Simulator 2002, and, for anyone wishing to take advantage of the add-on's missions and other combat elements, Combat Flight Simulator 2 games.
The Dam Busters allows players to relive the events of the May 16, 1943 when Wing Commander Guy Gibson led 19 specially adapted Avro Lancaster on the now legendary mission to destroy dams on the river Ruhr using the Upkeep bouncing bomb. The game features 25 missions in total, with other highlights including the sinking of the Tirpitz and the raid on Hitler's Eagles Nest. All of the scenery and WWII airbases in the game are authentically detailed, and in addition to three variants of the Lancaster bomber, players will be able to take to the skies in both Mosquitos and Wellingtons.
