In the game, players assume the role of Jim Track and they must infiltrate a secret alien base on the dark side of the moon. His adversary is an alien leader named Domingoaniax, who has been abducting humans and assimilating them into an army of droids that can be used to overwhelm Earth and plunder its natural resources.

BackTrack will feature twelve levels of gameplay and nine unique weapons. Telegames additionally promises that the GBA game will include in-game speech, digitized stereo sound effects, and visual effects such as smoke and transparency routines. A multiplayer mode, using the Game Boy Advance link cable, is also planned. BackTrack will be released for the GBA in September of this year.

On a related note, Telegames will additionally release two new Game Boy Color games. The first is Towers 2: Plight of the Stargazer, which a traditional dungeon-crawling RPG. The second is titled Rhino Rumble and it is a platformer where players have to assume the role of a cartoon-style Rhino and travel through 19 diverse levels.
