all I can say is...well said, nikefreak!! 2 thumbs up for your objective and thorough opinion of this next generation of gaming...I hope Sony gets their act together too or Microsoft will get complacent.

I liked this service. I have a ton of south park now. Go God Part 2 is one of the most insane South Parks I have ever seen. I recomend it.

Well at least Microsoft can admit when it did something wrong and give back to their consumers unlike Sony who is so arrogant they still treat their consumers like s@#$.

Hm, good thing I don't plan on using this. Just don't feel like spending money to rent things, spend the time to download them then only have them for a couple days.

It took me a while to download Poseidon ( a terrible movie btw but fun to watch all the Special F/X in high def on a big screen) but it was perfect and I will be downloading more movies as they get ones I like and can't get from NetFlix .. who btw has an awesome HD-DVD collection. I just love my new 360 add on ... even if it's not HDMI connected it still looks and sounds excellent. :)

I like how people freak when something doesnt work on launch. Maybe things will go smoother when they work out the bugs and everyone and their mom isn't trying to download 5gig movies at the same time.

I feel your post was just as worthless as mine, if either was to begin with. I have my views on the PS3 based on factual reasons. I have stated said reasons over and over, and there are many. I have also stated many times that I dont want any company to loose, as competition breeds innovation. But you simply cannot say I am wrong for my views, nor can anyone, as I have reason and fact to back it up. No, the PS3 doesnt scale correctly. No, the PS3 controller doesnt impress me, without rumble, same design, battery is stuck inside it with no way to change it without replacing the controller (Or sending to Sony), a drive that isnt needed and did nothing but raise the cost and cause delays, the BD media and movies arent selling well either and with the players running an average of double the cost of an HD-DVD player, I dont see the point in supporting that format at all, which is also why I assume Sony just HAD to have it on their console as I have also stated many times with fact that it is simply unnecessary in a console, at LEAST at this point in time and likely into the next generation. I can go on and on about the things on the PS3 that I intesnsely dislike, but it doesnt stop there... The company over and over, shoots themselves in the foot, not only by being arrogant and pompous but add to that they are loosing every single reason the PS2 succeeded and was liked as much as it was. Everyone seems to loose sight of this, and instead relegates it to a "fanboy war". All I can say is, it would make sense to listen to consumers and enjoy their support. As of now, I refuse to support Sony or the PS franchise, because I cannot and will not stand for the practices they employ on a regular basis in their gaming unit, not withstanding their other units and their horrible practices. And again, no surprise, the PSP PS1 games are coming, but alas, You need a PS3 to get them? How does that make any sense? Its just like the PSP needing a 250.00 unit to stream live TV to the PSP, when you can do the same thing free with www.orb.com but they wouldnt allow streaming Audio/Video in the webbrowser, as they wanted to charge 250.00 for the same thing in a box. So this time around, now you need a PS3 to use the PSPs PS1 games... Again, boxing consumers into more Sony product... I despise this kind of selling strategy, and avoid it at all costs... Its just a shame that it is starting to happen in the game industry to a point that someone like myself who has never hated any console, to finally hate the PS3 at this point. Give it a year or two, and maybe they will repair their image and their console, give gamers what they want, and increase their library once again. But then again to be fair, by then Microsoft will have enjoyed increased support from both consumers and developers, which will increase their market share and image, and just further destroy Sonys position. If anything Sony fans should root FOR what I say, not against it, as the stances I take are simply for their, AND my good. Not one or the other. And again, when it comes to large companies - Actions speak louder than words, especially when the action involves green paper called money, hence my reasoning to inform consumers of the truth instead of allowing a continually worsening situation to suck more people into deceptions, lies, and a ripoff. Instead, I advocate Sony to FIX their problems, FIX their console, and IMPROVE. Do something GOOD for the industry for a change, instead of thinking of yourselves. Do something that consumers WANT, not what you want to give them. When I say that they arent giving consumers what they want, I speak from experience and from what I see as a dominant stance in the industry. Anyone else who wishes to pick apart my views, feel free. But at least have an inkling of who I am, what I want, and what I do before you judge me :) Further, No. I have stated time and again, I have not and WILL NOT touch the PS3 until Sony corrects the problems they are facing, both with pr, image, console, pricing, games, etc. I will stick with Microsoft on this generation (Yes, I bought a PS2 last gen, followed by an XBOX like a week before the Halo 2 release). And the reason? The XBOX showed me things I hadnt thought were happening with consoles well... Namely, online. The online "experience" with the PS2 was horrid, and with XBL, I was thoroughly impressed and wouldnt go back after that... And then this generation, Microsoft has consistantly shown they listen to what gamers want, did their research and learned alot from the last generation. They have continued to improve and innovate on their services and platform, and have aggressively pursued developers to develop for their system, and give them the tools and support to do the best they can for said system. And beyond that, they even go to the length to offer refunds, compensation for hassle, etc. when things dont go right... They offer a service and gaming experience far beyond what I see offered for the PS3 and believe will be available anytime soon from Sony. Maybe you guys who try and attack me will read this and understand a bit more of my view, maybe not. But dont bother as it really does just waste my time. I try to help inform people of the real information behind things, not just some companies PR pony spouting nonsense.

I dled Poseidon on Saturday and the dl got to 4.5 of 4.51GB and then said it couldn't dl the movie (I guess that last MB was just too much for them to handle). Ok, so I go to re-dl it and am told I can't, but gives no reason. I look at my hard drive and see that, because of that 4.5GB incomplete file, I have only 1.5GB left on my drive (M$, give us bigger friggin drives already!!!!!). So I delete the file and go to re-dl the movie and now they want to charge me again. No thanks. To be fair, I haven't called M$ yet, and I'm sure they'll refund me with no problems. It was disappointing though. I will still probably buy some Venture Bros. eps, though--you can never have to much of those gems.

I've had many problems with my 360: -Froze when registering for Live the first time I tried -Gets stuck in the menus when I'm adding a friend in the middle of a game -Sometimes uses 0.01% of my bandwith. Also happened to Penny Arcade -Burns ring-shaped white scratches into my discs

Been downloading all weekend with no problems. Even got the South Park Warcraft Episode. I'm soooo loving this service. V for Vendetta in High Def was amazing.

Daktaklakpak, Everyone knows pirates don't make mistakes. No but seriously I agree with you, Microsoft has not done anything good or bad here, just a basic thing, they are just like Sony, when something go wrong they don't give up on it, but people seem to think that both sides should just give up and throw in the towel as soon as something has one problem. Regardless Xbox 360 has problems, PS3, has problems, The Wii has problems, most things in life have problems, it's ok, Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo, will all be around. Did you forget that game consoles are small ventures for Sony and Microsoft, did you forget that this is what Nintendo does, make video games, they know what they are doing, and have the most loyal fanbase of all 3 companies, we're all gonna be ok.

I don't see why people are saying M$ are better then Nintendo or Sony because they are refunding people who paid them money and didn't recieve their product. Obviously they are refunding them, as would Sony, Nintendo, and any other company not run by gangsters or pirates, if they didn't they would have a huge case suit on thier hands. M$ isn't refunding them out of the kindness of thier hearts, not saying the wouldn't otherwise, they are doing it because they have a legal obligation too

Well they are taking care of it at least. The first day of movies and tv shows, of course its going to be overwhelmed with response. Thats why I waited a few days. But they are fixing the problem, so good for them.

Also these kinds of things happen in almost ANY NEW hardware/software that comes out. It WILL be fixed. This is no apocaplyse, MS will not die, and the machines will not take over. unfortunate predicament for 360 owners. I'm sticking beside my dvd recorder to watch programs when I want. plus, thats kinda free.
