Blizzard publishes a global list of when the game will activate in each region.
Seeing as Starcraft II requires a connection to Blizzard's Battle.net servers to play, even physical copies of Heart of the Swarm obtained early will not run before this time. Heart of the Swarm also requires a copy of Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty to play.
GameSpot's review for Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm is in the works.
The approximate time when the game will go live across each region is posted below. Times displayed are local:

@wcw1985 you can check local store..or if you like you can buy it from Offgamers..the price sitting around Rm120..in Offgamers it's Rm118 though(in store pick up or cd key only).
@grimthereaperz Thanks for your info.
@grimthereaperz Will WOL included in the HOS?
@wcw1985 well yes..you need Wing of Liberty first to play Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void..both of it is sort like an expansion than standalone game..
Few hours left . Enjoy this trailer :
Hmm, it's gonna be hard to get back into SC2 now that Dota 2 is here. I guess having too many good games to play is a nice problem to have.
@Tauu Have you tried playing Brood War on iccup/fish server? Also war3 tft. Those and Dota 2 + LoL are all better games than SC2.
I wouldn't waste your time with Blizzard games, they stalk and harass vocal players on forums (in game of course) plus they essentially rig the esports side of SC2. Gross company.
So stupid that Eastern Time Zone Gamers always have to be the last ones to play in the U.S.. We always get to play at 3 am, while the pacific time zone gets to play at 12:00 am /End Rant. It just bugs me
Why is the US that last to get it, when Blizzard/Activision are U.S. companies. Southeast Asia should be the last region to get it.
Yeah in fact ActivisionBlizzard is an american company but their owner Vivendi is a french group.
@blackace blackace, it's all about how this world works, you know :) The sun moves wrom East to West, so if the launch day is 12.03 it will start in Asia earlier :) Nothing personal :)
@blackace most of the games launch first here, then they are imported to other nations. its all about noticing this, for example in traffic you always tend to notice when you are stuck in the slow moving lane but rarely notice when you are in the fast moving one!
@blackace Blizzard started from South Korea . They now work in US but it is Korean company .
@blackace yeah that does seem a little odd as they're a day ahead of us haha. for example: it's 8:04pm AST Monday here, but it's 9:04am Tuesday in Australia (forget what region exactly but my friend's 13 hours ahead of me after Daylight Savings.)
Another 5 hours of gameplay and then 2 years of silence until final part of trilogy is released. No, i won't buy it :P
@Agnus681 I am going to buy it I enjoyed SC2 quite a bit and I am not a huge RTS guy. The only issue I have atm is that I have so many awesome games to play and catch up on. And SC2 deserves my full attention. I think I will wait until I experience a lag in releases.. probably before the next gen consoles release is when I will purchase SC2 Heart of the Swarm.
@Agnus681 "Another" 5 Hours? Are you kidding?!?!? I've easily logged at least 200 into WoL, best game value out of all my games hands down. You clearly haven't played enough WoL...
@Alex-Peters Most likely he means he just played the campaign. IF he played it at all. However, I played the campaign multiple times through to get the different story and the achievements.
@x-TwilighT-x @Alex-Peters Absolutely! The campaign is fantastic! I think I've played through like 6 or 7 times now: normal, hard, brutal, normal for fast achievement, hard for other achievements, and hard again in anticipation for HotS release. Plus countless hours on ladder, and even more in Arcade with excellent user created content (Starcraft Community ROCKS!) I'm sorry, but I cannot sit idly by while someone claims this game is only worth 5 hrs. Completely not true!
@Majkic666 I am waiting for Launch trailer . I thought they won't be able to top Wings of Liberty launch trailer but surprised me with Vengeance trailer now want to be again with launch trailer .
I once REALLY liked Blizzard (I bought every games they created, StarCraft 2 WoL and Diablo 3 included) but it isn't the case anymore. No HotS for me.
@Dullgarian Blizzard is a great company. But I understand what your saying about Diablo 3. They just did things wrong with what would have been an all time favorite. Luckily they are still improving it.
@Dullgarian Same for me. They just aren't the same Blizzard that used to revolutionize an entire genre with each release. They're no better than Activision or EA these days....They also have some incredibly shady business tactics going on with their always-online-lets-spy-on-our-customers-bullshit.
PS Keep invading my private life some more Blizz, fu. I know you will read this comment ;)
@2bitSmOkEy Blizzard IS Activision.
@x-TwilighT-x Agreed. Blizz wouldn't waste their time/money on that crap. Paranoid, naive and extremely self-centered. Hackers... lolz! :)
oh man *snicker* thanks for the laughs.
wait, you're serious?
@2bitSmOkEy Blizzard is sending "hackers" after you because you played SC2 at a high level? What are you talking about?
@Sardinar @chibi-acer @2bitSmOkEy yawn, way to pass it off as paranoia when you have no idea what you're talking about. Over the past year and a half I've been dealing with this lovely little duo of hackers that Blizz has sent after me.
Never underestimate the lengths a failing multi billion dollar company will go to. I'm sure there are other top level former SC2 players that are experiencing the same shit I've been going through.
